(sorry if there is a thread,if so delete or merge)

Got them for $29.99 at Target Yesterday and they are pretty cool.

Bio: Basing their designs on alien technology, Mr. Fantastic™ and Iron Man create powerful new battle suits for the heroes of Earth. Faced with the war suits of Earth’s villains Iron Man designs powerful new battle suits for himself and Spider-Man. The heroes can attack separately, taking advantage of their unique powers, or combine spider powers with super tech to create an immensely powerful super jet. This new armor is the most powerful technology in the world, combining the might of two of Earth’s greatest heroes.

Earth’s villains now have a twice-as-tough set of heroes to contend with this exciting two-pack of hero-to-vehicle figures! These Spider-Man and Iron Man figures are already both major forces to be reckoned with, but when they convert to their high-flying airborne vehicles, their powers are heads-and-shoulders above their enemies! Plus, when battles really get tough, these two mighty heroes combine their powers for heavy assault mode before joining together to create a giant super bomber with two launching missile accessories! The bad guys just don’t stand a chance.

First off Spiderman. He is a pretty cool Helicopter. It is defenitly Spiderman like. Sometimes i think the normal crossover isnt spiderman. I would have liked him to be some form of a car but oh well, I can wait for the new car of him.

I think you can alter Spidey by twisting up the rotor assembly.

I'm going to get them because the Marvel Crossovers are starting to grow on me and I do want to get them all, but I'm getting a few that I think are awesome.

Combined mode can look a lot better if you configure it differently, the wings open up to expose much more detail, breaks up the color too:

True, Spidey could have used some black ink washes, and Iron Man would have looked awesome in crimson and gold..like the 6" movie figures.

I know Hasbro has been very stingy with paint apps for pretty much all TF lines, but the marvel crossover lines really take the cake. I was seriously interested in getting more of these, but the simple, colored plastic really takes the aesthetic appeal away from these guys. I'm not usually a stickler at all about paint either. I know Hasbro has teams of people figuring this all out, but I would imagine investing a little more into these guys for some paint would help sell more and maintain a good return. Afterall, this has no cartoon or movie or anything to back it up, so I would assume it's meant to appeal to TF and marvel collectors, so making it appeal to collectors more seems to make sense. Oh well, maybe it's just me.

I agree with you. I expected more from the Spidey figure here, but he looks too simple and bulky.. Ironman is still passable. Paint apps are really lacking here, and I'm most disappointed about it. And like you said, there's no cartoon, comic or movie to back it up, Hasbro should've put in more effort on the paint apps.

Unless.. Hasbro knew all along that this won't sell so well and it was only made because of suggestions from fans per-se? In that case, that might explain the lack of detail and paint apps.. Just my guess.

The combined modes suck, that pretty much goes without saying, but even individually these are the weakest Marvel Transformers so far.

Just picked these up for $15. The combined mode's picture on the box sold it for me, but overall I was not really impressed. But for $15, not a bad buy.
