Wait, they combine in vehicle mode? Oh yeah, they do, I totaly frogot they did. But the Jet twins can combine in both vehicle AND robot modes, and it's the robot mode combining that got my attention. I honestly like the Jet twins over this new marvel combiner simply because I like the individual bots the most as that's how I see them most. Plus the Animated set is a value pack, too, in that it's two deluxes that are exact retools of each other and yet are totaly diferent AND a full-size exclusive comic all for $20. The Marvel Combiner individual bot modes don't look appealing at all to me, the individual vehicle modes don't look appealing to me, and I in full honesty am not a big fan of combined vehicle modes. If I wanted that I'd go rent that Crash Bandicoot kart racer game that allowed you to do that to all the car styles.
Damn it. Hasbro is putting a whole crapload of stress on my "Will not buy Marvel TF's" plan of action. At first, I decried them. Now they combine.... and....the crack is strong in this one.
Based on this extremely tiny picture, they look pretty cool... it doesn't seem like the combiner gimmick will hurt them too much. On the down side, I'm a bit disappointed that the vehicle modes aren't more "real-world" like some of the other Crossovers. zmog
I don't understand the considerable amount of venom being spewed at these guys. ("Venom", heh. See what I did there?) I think they look really promising so far. Wonder if they'll be a 2-pack or sold separately. Agreed on the need for baddies, though. Doom, Magneto, Goblin, and Juggernaut should all be no-brainers, at least. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Hulk retool as Juggy, actually. Hey! They could do Mysterio as the Popemobile -- his head could form the dome.... What I really want is transforming DC mechs, though. C'mon Mattel!
I think it looks awesome. I'm just a little sad that they used Spider-man instead of War Machine, and that it's normal Spidey, instead of Iron Spidey.
Meh, it's decent I guess, but don't like 'em...but Iron Man's bot mode looks promising judging from the small pic..better than his current one.
Holding out for better pics but I keep hoping these crossovers can be used for kitbash fodder. None of them have appealed to me yet. These look kind of good but if one sucks and they both come togther for like $30, no thanks

seems like they could have done new characters just as easily, but these look interesting regardless.
