Has anyone picked any of them up. I bought two boosters when I first saw them, and they both had the same exact thing. I bought another booster last week, and that pack had the same two figures too. They both had a chrome base Spider-man and a Hulk
Hav'nt bought any, but had some fun with the TF Attacktix there for awhile. Might just get a few select ones off eBay for a buck or 2 instead of blind buying Here's the Hasbro series 1 gallery page http://www.hasbro.com/attacktix/default.cfm?page=galleryMV1
Why are there so many of Ghost Rider and Spiderman in one wave? I counted three of each...that seems kind of unnecessary given the deep roster of characters Marvel has to pull from. I can understand there being several of those two eventually, after a few waves, but right off the bat those two characters alone account for more than 20% of the first wave. The sculpts look pretty cool though. I might pick some of these up.
As Orodruin mentioned, movie support is a big part of it. The various Ghost Rider's are pretty distinct, the "Old West" version is a lot different than the more contemporary one, and the Mega on the Cycle is a whole different type of fig. Spidey...there are actually five total across all of the releases...there is a Rare and Super Rare version in the boosters, and a total of three different ones across the two of the starter packs. However, I think we did a good job of making each of them play differently in the game...we had three different sculpts/attacks to work with, each has a different power, one is on the Avengers team, one of the web blast versions has the black and grey armor deco, etc. etc...
Maybe I'm the only one that has bad luck. I want to buy some more, but I'm afraid I'll end up getting a Hulk and common Spider-man again
