Is there any truth to the current storys about saying marty has been let go from cartoon network? It seem a little odd that no one is reporting on this given the ammount of publicity the unconfirmed reports of animated season 3 being the end is getting.

Also what are peoples take on hasbro having a hand in the decision given they are claimed to have had a hand in the decision to cancel the idw animated comic that marty was writing?

It was reported, and refuted, and the thread appears to be have been deleted, out of respect for Marty. IDW's issue 6 was cancelled (but will be in the TPB), but not the comic series, to my knowledge.

Issue #6 of the comic was only going to reprint
the comic that's packed in with the jet twins.
It was originally scheduled to be the last issue.
'Animated : Arrivial' was always planned as a limited series.
All of IDW's transformers titles are limited series.

Fantastic who was it who refuted by? Isenberg himself? Also any link to the rebuttle of the news?

I was aware the final issue was to put I'm the tbp but any news on why they took the decision. And what role did hasbro have in the decision?

Dunno of any links to the refuting that I'm aware of.

As for the comic issue 6, I'm recalling that it was a case of the issue's release timing very badly with the release of the Jet Twins to the shelves, but I'm afraid I can't guarantee that I'm not just filling in the blanks myself there. :(

Marty said he was a freelancer rather than a salaried CN employee, but CN kindly provided him with an office anyway. Since his writing duties had been finished for awhile, they asked for the office back.

Thread with this information seems to have been deleted out of respect for Marty.

So, he's not fired, and the comic would continue, right?

    I don't know.

Anyway, this thread should be moved or locked or something, since it wasn't news, it was asking a series of questions, so it shouldn't be here.

I don't get it, how can you get fired when you're a free-lancer who just completed your work?

Well he can't your right. But all I'm hearing are people giving diffrent side to the story without any conformation. At the very least wouldn't it be likly then if he is a free lancer then this is proof that animated is now concluded for good given that he is the story editor of the show?

Don't worry about Marty he is a big boy andswill move on and be fine. I will be happy to see the franchise do the same, not for nothing this was a cool experiment and all but animated has had its run and after this third season it is on to the next evolution.

    No it isn't.

If he is a free-lancer, he could be hired again for Season 4 etc., he was lucky to keep a office between first and second season anyway.

Never heard about Spectacular Spiderman? From Season 1 to 2, until it was picked up, everybody was considering "fired" like Marty.

Marty told one of the staff members of this site, who relayed it to the missing thread. Take it up with them if you want proof.
