Anyone else plan on seeing this? I read the book and it is fantastic. Seen several previews for the movie and it looks great! If you haven't read the book here is what it is about:

John Grogan and his wife get married and start their life together. John decides that his wife needs a puppy. They go out and look at some little yellow lab puppies and pick one out. Then they take the little guy home. He turns out to be untrainable and causes caos everywhere.

It is based on the author, John Grogan, and his wife's real dog Marley. It is about their life together with the dog and eventually three kids. The book is fantastic and the movie looks just as good..

I wasn't aware there was a book. I figured it'd be a decent movie to take a girl to, although it looks from the trailers like it can't make up it's mind if it should be a comedy-romance or a straight comedy about the dog.

The book is a bit of both. It is about early marriage and children all while having a big stupid dog.. I'd imagine the movie to be the same.

Hahaha, I sort of guessed that, but the images made me laugh.

Sounds like another rehash of Lassie, Benjie, or Beethoven...pass.

My girlfriend loves the book. I promised I would go with her on boxing day, which is only fair considering she saw the Dark Knight with me four times.
