he's not a big-name actor at all. small parts only.

which means they're likely casting based on talent over star-power.

    this is very good.

So are there any voice clips on the net anywhere? I'd like to hear what kind of voice he has.

I don't trust any info that comes off of IMDB for upcoming movies. This should be considered a rumour.

IMDB isn't really a reliable source on this right now - they are sort of like a Wikipedia for film actors 'n stuff.

I could sign up and make an entry that Bea Arthur is doing a voice for the film. Would that make it true? No.

How is this front paged without any backup?

So far they are 100% correct except for Michael Clarke Duncan who could not come to a deal. So I think its pretty solid information. So you can think what you want but IMDB is good for cast information. They dont just post anything they feel like.

But the VERY imdb article this is linked to has this in his biography:

Which means he'll be reading the lines of all the Transformers for the actors to play off of, but he's not actually going to be the voice of any of them.

What a cool guy: How many people have "Swordmaster" on their resumes today?

Anybody know what he wrote for DC?

Don's changed the title of the thread on DM.net to "Mark Ryan NOT the first VA Cast".

I think that says it all really. He's just there to read the lines and give the actors someone and something to react to.

You know, I misread the title and thought Meg Ryan had been cast as a TF voice :p

OMG! Another guy from "Alias" - I think everybody in this movie has been involved in that frikkin' show one way or another!

Also, legendary Hollywood director; Michael Bay ?

"Legendary' isn't quite the word I would use here... "infamous" is probably a better choice... or maybe he just hasn't heard of Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, Tim Burton etc.

Still, voice actors are voice actors, and I won't know if this was a good choice or not until I see the final product of him voicing a TF.

And isn't it "Mark Ryan has been CAST?"

Casted is bad grammar. Not that grammar counts here in the world of message boards, but still.

    THANK YOU!!!

I work in an office that handles casting, and "casted" isn't a real word. I've only ever seen it used around toy-related forums, in reference to moldmaking, and I'm not 100% sure it belongs there.

Anyway, wow. If this dude's just the on-set voice for the TFs, then this whole story's half as important. He's a vocal stand-in. Move on.
