Optimus Primal not voiced by Gary Chalk is such a massive fail - if these shows weren't such garbage, i'd actually be disappointed.

Also, Rodimus Unicronus is now Rodimus Cron? What a weird name.

 

So this is the full cast? Really? I hope it's good but that's so few characters, I hope more are added and this isn't really the final list of cast and characters. May Primus be with us all.

Chalk is based in Vancouver. POTP is based in the US. Casting Chalk in this would cost a lot of Money.

Dear YouTubers, get out. I love you guys, but please get out.

 

I blame Furman being so god damn out-of-touch for that, not IDW. On a level, taking into account what the Cybertronians are, it makes sense but it does not translate to a species with many more shades of grey. IDW respected the creative decisions Furman has made but have worked hard to distance themselves from it since then. An outright retcon would have been too jarring and I'm glad they didn't. I hate retcons. The efforts Arcee has shown in accepting her changes mean a lot more.

 

Sad Gary won't be Primal, but very happy the character will evidently be prominently featured. Looking forward to it. I've enjoyed the series so far for what it is, warts and all.

 

I didn't see Peter Cullen OR Optimus Prime on thr list. I read the 1st 3 or 4 pages to see if anyone mentioned it. I hope he comes back I wanna see Orion Pax transform into Optimus Prime haha! As a kid in '84, '85, it wasn't quite like that but I still dig it. I wonder how they will do it in the POTP anime.

 

If this really is the "FULL" list, it would indicate that OP is dead and gone, not returning in any major capacity, maybe as a force ghost here or there but otherwise he's out and Primal is in

 

Darn, that sucks. A lot of us, myself included, would have loved for him to return. Someone posted in another thread not so long ago that he could still have recorded his lines and then E-mailed them over here, but that's now we know that's not happening.

Well, in any case, let's hope they don't screw up Primal too badly. Ron Perlman is a good voice actor, but we still have no idea how this version of the character will be written, which in my opinion is a much bigger concern than just what he'll sound like. I think we're all in agreement that this trilogy doesn't exactly have the best writing, so I'm a bit worried they aren't going to do him justice.
