Anyone here saw the incredible, scary as fuck Slendy series? Share your thoughts! And remember, ALWAYS WATCHES, NO EYES
I don't find it scary. I think it's the lack of volume. That stupid painted face kinda ruins SM's concept, too. I'm doing a joke documentary, and I guarantee that'll be scarier.
Honestly, I would love to see it. I think what I found scary about this is the fact that most of the static was a means of jump-scaring.
Whenever I finish, it will be funny. The one video where Slenderman runs past ruins the character. SM stands and watches. Not pull a Jackass and run by.
Trust me, I've noticed. And laughed my ass off. On another note, what do you think of the less-serious series, EverymanHYBRID? I've only gotten around to watching around 30 episodes of it. But it's a lot less found-footage like, and more of a show that takes itself as seriously as the audience does.
Never seen it. But the stuff from HatClubForMen is hillarious. They really dive into the 20$ thing. Also, Slenderman has a Happymeal. That's awesome.
Yeah, that is fucking hillarious! You should watch EverymanHYBRID though. It's quite a different take. You may need the Wiki page in order to keep track. In any case, probably should have called this "The Official Slender Man thread" or something.
That would be best. I'm still waiting for thier second season. I can't wait so see more. I loved the moment Slenderman beat the crap outta that kid.
I'll tell you what's fake. My future documentary. Also, do you know who HatClubForMen is, Autovolt? They make hillarious Slenderman videos.
Update: I've caught up on MH until 60.5. Wow, this is surprisingly scary. You just don't see the guy in the mask pop out from behind a corner. And that Slenderman costume is brilliant.
I went back one day and watched a bunch of the Marble Hornets stuff and I thought it was actually pretty well done. The Operator costume can be kind of hokey at times but considering how little he actually appears I can overlook it. A large amount of it is jump scares which are lame, but it actually does a decent job at building up the tension as you don't know if he'll even appear in a video and if he will, when? I think one of the best for that was one with some people in a house just casually talking and going about their day, and after about 5 or 6 minutes out of the corner of the filmers eye you see it standing in a doorway out of focus and they all lose it and start running. For me thats part of what makes him effectively creepy. Like the Silents in Doctor Who, in the shots where its one out of focus and the characters don't see it? Fantastically creepy. When they're the focus of the attention, not so much.
My favorite moment in the series is that one entry where Alex's girlfriend finds his old camera, and Alex tells her to put it away, obviously nervous of what it'll attract. Then the Operator just walks in and scares them. Sideways, glad to hear you got how creepy this show is. Also, anyone wanna give their opinions on "enttry #37"? I swear, I got paranoid for the whole day after watching it.
Yeah, that was one of my faovrites. Mainly for the amout of Slenderman that's in it. And the girl acted well, unlike that Jessica chick. But god, my ears hurt whenever Slendy appears. The crackling and blurr is awesome, but painful.
Yeah, usually when I see a dark room or a very calm moment, I instinctively lower the volume. As paranoid as I am, and I am a pretty paranoid person, I was always appealed by the concept of horror and fear. Go figure.
They plan thier locations well. I wish I could find awesome abandonded hospitals. What freakled me out was seeing Slendy in the tunnel. Just imagin being in that tight space, you find a crazy folder, turn, and you see the white face just staring.
Yeah, that maintainence tunnel was something. All those files of Tim probably suggest that he's not 100% sane. Speaking of Tim, anyone watched Totheark's videos?
I was into Marble Hornets for a while. The initial setup and then the "lost memories" of season 2's intro was well done, but of late it's been boring to me. I think it's because I'm at the limit for how far they can go without starting to answer questions.
