Gunbuster is going to utterly crush masterpiece starscream, it's as big as MP Convoy and will come with more weapons then you'll know what to do with.

For those who don't know Gunbuster seperates into two big spaceships called Buster Machines (1&2) and as well as those shown above the toy is set to include the following gimmicks,

The Buster Shield, a big cape that it pulls out of nowhere and hides behind.
Swappable hands and feet, transforming ones and anime accurate ones
The whole chest plate pulls off and it's power core can be pulled out to replicate a scene from the show.
It can do it's iconic crossed arms pose with the help of some swappy bits for the forearms
The spikes on the head fold up for it's transformation
and finally (assuming I've remembered everything) the set is rumoured to include a launch tower accessory for the spcaeship modes to replicate another scene from the show.

That has to be one of the most beautiful figures I've EVER seen. How much will this cost again?

The Gunbuster is an awesome toy! I think prices are not announced yet...I will need to check it out. Anyway, Chogokins are ADDICTIVE...and I've given up on collecting them. I have sold off most of my pieces over the last few months and all i have left are my Mazingers, EVAs and Tetsujin 28...

Gunbuster does indeed look awsome. Not sure on the yen price, but BBTS has Gunbuster up on preorder for 159.99, so it's not too bad (at least not Aquarion or Dancouga prices).

Oh, and that MG Crossbone X-1 looks badass. I'll definitely have to pick it up, it'll go well with the MG F91.

From what I checked the Bandai Gunbuster's suggested retail price is 19,000 Yen...I stress on the word "suggested"...

Gunbuster is to retail at 18'000yen and is currently set for Nov, HLJ has a page up for that price but isn't taking any mor eorders untill Sep 1st,

    http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN941668

In case you're wondering it's going to be about 10-12" tall but I don't know if that's measuring to the head height or the tops of the shoulder booms.

The really great thing about this is that Masterpiece Convoy will be able to borrow some of Gunbusters many weapons. :D

but why is Gunbuster so tall? even taller than mostly all of the other SOC combiners? that just doesnt bode well with me and others. if they do that then their scaling of figures will be off.

Gunbuster is over 200 meters tall, scale matters little.

If they had a true scale to the SoC, I'd be scared to hear them announce an Ideon figure.

Ah, forgot about that. And I just refreshed my memory, the Ideon is actually half the size of the Gunbuster. Now the SDF-1 on the other hand...

Oh yes, Ideon is coming as well. Bandai are granting two of my biggest wishes with these. :D
