the dude DID screw over the guy who had his collection appraised (the price he gave was close to the price of the Fort Maxes alone) so karma perhaps?

Yeah... that makes total sense... karma. This guy giving a lowball appraisal to some TF collector (which the collector turned down) totally relates him then having a domestic dispute with his girlfriend a year or two later over some missing money. :rolleyes2

There's always two sides to a story. Taking the extreme route and using force to retrieve your money instead of calling the police may not be the right thing to do, but such a course of action is far from 'unprovoked' and the doer is just as much a victim as the thief (if not more so).

Dude popped over to my art table at BotCon asking "do you know who I am?" and then wanted to leave a bunch of his autograph cards with me. Classy. XD

Knife wounds? Those look more like fingernail scratches. Shit, I've scratched myself worse with a piece of cardboard than the wounds she has on her neck.

Well... I can't really blame the dude... Right or wrong... He low-balled a collector, yes. But that's what pawn shop folks do.. Their job is to lowball to make ridiculous amounts of profit. Pawn shops are primarily around for people who have a gambling/drug/any other money sucking addiction. Plain and simple.

On to the matter at hand. I recently had right at $4,000 stolen from me. About 6 weeks ago; from a woman nonetheless (take not fellas, it sucks ass)... Had I known at the time, I can't honestly say that I wouldn't have done the same thing. I mean that's $4,000. That isn't chump change to me. I know it's money and it can be replaced, but I am more than furious about it.

No matter how pure or wicked of heart and/or mind someone is, once money (especially large amounts) is stolen, the exact same amount of rage overcomes everyone. Some people can handle it better than others. I have taken the steps I needed in order to have justice brought to the situation, but I'm certainly not getting my money back, unfortunately; however the person who stole it is undergoing legal punishment for their actions, and hopefully will learn from it. I know I have. But again... If I had found out about it when it happened, my actions would surely not have been as calm as they were when settling the issue. Not discrediting women by any means... But there are an awful lot of bad ones out there (same goes for men too.) you can never be safe enough anymore.

He was the appraiser. The pawn stars brought him in. He shouldnt have low-balled (if he did). He should give an accurate appraisal.
