Calm down there chief. I've been told in my state (which happens to be the same as the dude from this article) that you won't get pulled for jury duty unless you're a registered voter. Maybe its different state by state, maybe I was missinformed.
I was called twice. The first was for a county I didn't live in anymore and didn't have to go (yes I called and told them). The second I went in and wasn't interviewd for selection. I hope I never get selected. I can't stand court shows and those are made to be entertaining. I would likely fall asleep during trial. Also my company treats it like you are there and gives you full pay as long as you bring in the documentation that you went to jury duty, in my case the check they give you for your time and travel.
