Wow, that guy is sooooo cool.
Stupid. Though not as extreme as changing his whole name. Atleast his initials are the same.
Now he and Optimus Prime will forever be mortal enemies. Too bad OP is an army officer. Ol' Megs there has no chance... (kind of odd, somewhat reversed roles, eh)
@Topic: Well, congrats on getting your wish fulfilled. Middle name changed is also quite a different story than having the complete name changed ^^
But anyway, to each his own, i wouldn't go that far, doesn't mean i begrudge others for doing it
Changing one's middle name doesn't require quite as much devotion as one's first and last names, but it still requires a great deal of devotion.
He won't have to change his business cards either as it will still be "Jason M. Burrows".
Not as extreme as Optimus Prime.
I actually met Mr. Optimus Prime at Botcon.
Really, really nice guy!
Rather damn cool, IMO.
Why not? It's not stupid, since it's easier to change back than a tattoo.
Yeah, me too! Heck of a cool cat.
I can't beleive I missed Mr. Op Prime
They sure can be nice guys, but I would feel completely retarded being legally named/called "Optimus Prime" or "Megatron". That's just over the top.
You know when I first heard about that guy years ago I thought it was absurd. Then he told his story and it was quite endearing. He has stayed with it. He's kind of a legend in this community, haha.
The fact that he is a soldier helps I think.
Bah, to each his own
Totally agree. That is just an awkward situation waiting to happen.
Hehe, I wonder if he'll regret it later on..
From what I hear, the military actually gave him some time off just for Botcon, which is extremely cool!!
Wow, great vocabulary @ the beginning of this thread. Far as I'm concerned, good for him. If he's happy with it, what can I say? And who's to say changing your middle name to Megatron is dumber that collecting kids toys for years on end or modding your car with TF logos and the like. Seems perfectly natural to me.
Separate names with a comma.
