Someone at my job charged a guy 5K because they mistyped the payment info.

    Ouch, that's a spicey meatball!

See, sometimes it is better to use this antiquated form of payment known as cash.

You see, this is why I always look at the number on the keypad before punching any numbers.

They punched a chocolate bar up for $99 one time unstead of $0.99
I am glad I noticed that one.

First Mistake: He eats at Burger King. Second Mistake:...nothing really...first mistake was his only fault.

That's really odd. I work at a Starbucks and if something like that happens we can just void the transaction.

I can't believe that banks are still using that antiquated and out of date excuse. That's not what it's for, all they do these days is hold your money for 3 days while making interest on it. F'n banks.

Anyway, who the heck pays for fast food with a credit card of all things? I can't even bring myself to paying with an ETFPOS (savings) card at those places, it just seems so wrong and holds everyone up.

Nothing wrong with hungry jacks, far sight better than that mcdonalds crap. :D  1 large aussie burger meal thanks. Ahhhhhh. :)  But it's only a once or twice a month treat for me. :)

Heh, yea, but if it's in my favor I shut up. :)  I once got $2.something worth of stuff from 7-11 once for 20 cents. Not that much, but score.

That was really irresponsible of the cashier. I hope she was punished or something. The potential damage could've been enormous, leading to costing the company a lawsuit.

Edit: Btw I no longer use Bank of America. They have really whacky and almost criminal policies that led me to lose $150 just in fees. They are disgusting in my book.

Yes, an innocent 14 or 15 year old kid needs to be punished for making an honest accidental mistake.

But if they did do it on purpose, deep fry 'em.

I'm glad I go through a decent Credit Union. That would really suck.

Wow. Mine wouldn't have gone through but I almost always use my credit card now. It's actually faster, except at KFC. You don't have to sign anything at our Burger King's, Taco Bell's, and so on, except KFC. And alot of the time it's faster as you don't have to wait for them to make change but just a quick printout. Meh. I'll take the ease of using my card as opposed to having to stop at the bank before lunch anyday. It's why I have an ATM card in the first place. I have a much lower limit on mine though just so I don't run into that kind of situation or if it gets stolen.
