I just received my Mirage today after winning this auction.

DHL delivered it today and somewhere along the line the box got damaged. Something put a hole in the box and now there's a very noticeable stress mark in the window of my Mirage box. I opened it up just to see if there was any more damage done. I didn't see any. I emailed the seller and told him that if he kept using DHL I would buy KO Wheeljack and Sunstreaker someplace else. It'd be nice if he offered to do something about it, but oh well. He probably won't.

Yeah...I don't know. It's a KO box, and it's not that badly damaged.

But if you're pissed, I guess that's your call.

That's not DHL's fault. It looks like that box is made from VERY thin cardboard. Blame the seller.

Thin cardboard, true, but that doesn't explain somebody stabbing it with a pen. Some asswipe did that on purpose.

Was there any styrofoam or anything else between the toy box and the shipping box? Or was it right up against the side?

Sorry but I would complain too. It looks like somewhere the packaging didn't help protect it on it's way to you.

The company I work for dropped DHL as a shipper a few years ago because of this kind of crap, it says a lot because DHL was much cheaper than UPS.

Man, sorry to read about the damage...I've had similar experiences and the seller shifted the blame to the shipping company! Gah! Thankfully the toy wasn't damaged!

DHL loves destroying (and opening/looting) packages. never buy from anyone that uses them. never.

bought a GBA SP from a friend, he used DHL, I got an empty GBA SP box.

well check this out! I had a TF shipped by DHL and when the guy shipped it the toy was in a bubble, with unused sticker sheet. Anyway I got the item but the toy was resealed in the bubble and inside the bubble there was white glue residue? and after looking the toy it had been broken repaired/glued and two of the stickers were placed were it was repaired?

I'm a former UPS employee. I really did NOT like that job, but one thing I can say... I have NEVER seen anyone deliberately damage a package. Packages DO get damaged, kicked, stepped on, etc... it happens, it's part of the industry. It sucks, but it's what happens, and you should hope you get someone like me who handles your package (not to toot my own horn, but I treated 90% of the packages I handled with the same respect I'd want my packages handled with... the other 10% were from jerks who'd label a 50 pound box as 3 pounds).

I've heard HORROR stories about DHL. I've had timing issues with FedEx, but I've never gotten damaged goods. I'd stick with UPS and USPS... FedEx is my second choice.

THAT box, however, was clearly stabbed maliciously. Yeah, I'd complain if it bothers you that much.

I watch the DHL guys see how far they can throw tvs into their trucks, and they did this right infront of a store. DHL blow.

*thinking* Maybe I should get a job at DHL, this way I would never have to buy a TF again :scalper  I could just take them.

Seriously, that's crap dude. I'd be PISSED!

It's not the seller's fault, it looks like he packaged it very safely. Blame the shipping company. Sucks that it happened but at least it's just a KO Mirage box and not a real one.
