My question is---from the latest pics/vids, it looks like the main struts of Scattershot's ginormous bow are actually metal. Are they?

2nd most complicated, REALLY nice altmode. He does a particular transformation thing that's really cool.

Wish I liked the combined mode for Quantron. The individual bots are fun.

Quantron combined is busy, a bit of an awkward shotgunned patchwork of color and shape. Not a great silhouette.

I really wish someone had gotten a chance to review Nosecone/SonicDrill. Just from the pics I have seen he is definitely my favorite, so far.

Can anyone who was able to handle him comment on that particular fig?

Other than that, I am really liking what I have seen from these two vids. Thanks gents, much appreciated!

    Yeah, they're telescoping metal rods.

I REALLY liked Sonic Drill. He was going to be my review figure, but he was a little more complex and would have taken up more time to shoot his video there on stage, so I opted for Blindfire instead. Sonic Drill is a really nice figure, probably my favorite in the set in the time I had to spend with it, and he's got what I feel is the neatest transformation of the four limb bots.

I had a chance to play with the whole set at Tfcon and I think sonic drill may have been my favorite too... His head sculpt and the small visor over one eye look amazing... I would love to display him with a couple of trash talks Energon drinks on his extra arms taking a sip while he tinkers with his regular hands

Well, now I'm going to have to buy the bloody thing, aren't I? The only Maketoys figure I own is Paladin, and I'm probably going to sell him because, as pretty as he looks, I think he fails as a "Transformer". (I have the same issues with PE Warden). But this... the individual modes look like Transformers, one of them is a vehicle from Tron (i much prefer it when third parties and HasTak have a bit of fun with "classic" designs, rather than following them slavishly), and he looks like he might replace Feral Rex in the "best integration of combiner kibble" stakes.

    Excellent reviews, TJ!

I LOVE these designs. I guess its personal taste. He was my favorite G1 combiner and looks to be my new favorite new generation combiner, maybe. Also, tabs that are designed to tab in a specific way isn't "weird" or a "design flaw", I don't think, lol. But I DO like your reviews, so keep them up! :)
