    This is...... busy.

But for people who want it, and can have it, i'm happy.

I'm fairly confident there'll be a more 'geewun' Scorponok eventually.

    Still on the fence.

It's really beautiful in my opinion, but I'm running out of space fast here. Been looking on Craigslist free listings for bookshelves and stuff, but even when I find something, I just don't have that much space to work with. Rack another one up to first world 3P problems. Still, I have a feeling I won't be able to resist the Black Zarak repainted if this does well enough at market.

    BIG TRANSFORM!

It looks awesome but its not scorponok in my eyes. I never got on with utopia though.

Will definitely buy it, if I can raise the cash and not worry about the cost.

Considering that in most cases (note: I said most, not all) Has/Tak renditions tend to be of lower quality and design than 3rd party, "worse toy" tends to be appropo (again, read "note" insert above).

    Nothing wrong with busy :)

THAT's what the whole busy comment was leading too :rolleyes2

    Tell-tale oversized claw? [CHECK!]
    Distinctive base mode? [CHECK!]
Head designed ala Zarak in headmode? [CHECK!]

Your eyes need a check up :p  hehe

I thought that the rep had said they pushed back Trypticon due to some problems, and pushed Scorp ahead because they were at the same point in their design stages, not they turned Trypticon into Scorponok.

I thought the problem was the designer left Planet X (thus no longer needing to work on Trypy) and signed on with MT. Those feet on Scorpy look somewhat similar to the one WfC Trypy has in this follow image

Come to think of it, the claws also bare a minor resemblance as well.

Huh. Even the scorpion tail is basically Trypticon's tail in an over the head position.

I wonder if Maketoys will remold/reengineer Pandinus into Tryp?

Well sharing molding could be what's helping them keep it down around the $400 mark.

I am expecting to get some extra cash near the holiday season. If this turns out to be 400 it's a buy. Wouldn't spend anything more than that.

Trypticon only has two modes, base and Dino.

Pandimus has three: scorpion, base, robot

I am curious what they do for trypicon

Maybe MT could give a nod to FOC and give Trypicon a spaceship mode.

Actually, the original G1 Trypticon had three modes Dino, city/base.and mobile battle station.

In in any case, Pandinus certainly looks impressive. Just looking forward to seeing more details of the headmaster module.

I'm just torn on whether to save up for this Pandinus, or wait (and save some more) for a Black Zarak.
I think this would look awesome in Nod colours. (Black and Red)

Correction. His two modes are: Badass and Even More Badass

Yeah, but I don't want to be only able to transform him once :p

G1, schmee-wun. We're talking WfC Trypy here. The designer for Pandius used to work for Planet X and MT's Scorpy has design similarities to WfC Trypticon (at least in bot/main mode).

Interesting you mention Planet X. Omega has some balance issues with his massive arms. It looks like scorponok has a lower base and wider stance. Hopefully to address these issues

It is indeed a piece of art, just not my kind of Scorpy.

    Back to the Deathstalker watch......
