Yeah, no treads. Like smooth racing tires. But they're rubber.
Tbh I was expecting MMC Sphinx kind of rubber tyres.
Yeah those are silicone on Sphinx so they feel different.
Hope we get Stepper with Nightstick soon since MT doing Targetmasters.
I want one as well, The only issue is that, he's gonna be one damn small figure next to the TM, HM and eventual PM lineup.
Just take a look at their MP Pointblank !! It's the even taller than XTB Andres !!
I guess he is a bandy guy.
mine have the same issue also. so he will be in bot mode forever!
Figured I would put in my amateur attempt at fixing the cheap grey plastic look. First attempt with a rattle can was less than ideal....Ended up buying an airbrush and several missteps later and a few strip downs, not to mention headaches, I'm pretty happy with the results. The pics don't show the gloss very well though. Now I need to paint stuff to justify the purchase.
Oh wow, yep. Sorry about that. Really wasn't trying to be a jerk. It was just small enough that it looked like a smudge of something!
Epic pelvic thrust for the win!
Even a rattlecan paintjob looks better than those bare gray-swirl plastic shins and feet. Disappointing for what mostly otherwise a great Jazz.
Do you still recommend this guy if no extra work (reprolabels or painted gun, shins and feet)?
Yes, best Jazz currently on the market.
Without a doubt. Sure it would be nice if he had more paint or tampos or this and that... But that's just nitpicks on top of an already amazing figure. Do you like what you see in the pictures? If so, you'll be super happy with him.
Absolutely. I didn't do either of those things, and he's still one of the best toys in my collection. Looks great, and so fun to transform and pose.
I was sorely tempted to go with the waterslides, but decided to go with Reprolabels instead.
Has anyone tried the Tamiya lacquer spray over Reprolabels? Would that work? I'm looking for a way to protect the stickers. Thanks.
I dunno, personally. My Coolsville won't be in hand for... a while so I can't compare, but every time I look at my Downbeat (which has no labels yet), it bothers me. The lack of stripes and the default placement of the "4" is unforgiveable IMO.
And you have to at the very least get a suitable faction logo because that red and white outline is just horrible.
My verdict: stickers are mandatory if you want a Downbeat.
I hate stickers. They look awful and they really just make a Masterpiece looking toy just look cheaper. That's why I was so excited when JSix uploaded his decal sheet and instructions on how to use them and why I went gung ho in improving and adding to the set. I love the way my Downbeat looks now!
But yes, Downbeat is awesome but he needs some attention. A faction logo at the very least, which is admittedly difficult since they created the spot for it but made it the wrong proportion so no logo really fits.
Unless you're a toy enthusiast, the Reprolabels set is just overkill. If you're a show enthusiast, pretty much a faction symbol should cut it. I'm going with the latter on mine.
