    Hey guys,

just got this guy at the Weekend from Kapow Toys and I have just got around to opening him up, but I noticed that the nosecone section seems to come un-tabbed when trying to fold screamers head inside when transforming - is this a defect and do I need to contact Kapow of Maketoys or is this just something that happens? Also is there anyway to get the crotch area to stay up from sliding down?

I used the dry rub ones that came with the Seeker KOs. I ordered some of the symbols separately from Rubadubspawn.

I did the same as @kibble. I don't love the shiny finish on the ones that come with the YM seekers but they are at least a good size. None of my preferred waterslides are large enough...

It's not a defect, it's designed to comec off so it doesn't break. When you're a little more familiar with how the parts move you'll be able to transform him without it coming off.

You could email Maketoys directly, it took a while but it worked out for me. There's a pinned page on this forum that has all third party contact info:

0E54D867-F42F-41F9-864C-31A98E593484.jpeg How to lighten his face:
    1. Use acrylic based model paint. I used Creatix silver and gold metallic acrylic paint mixed with a drop of flat black to get the desired color.
    2. Use a very small brush
    3. Remove the face of the figure and secure the back of the face on the sticky side of some tape. This will allow you to paint without having to touch the plastic.
    4. Dip your paintbrush in the paint and wipe most of it off on a paper towel. This is called a dry brush technique. Use this method and apply several coats for desired effect.
    5. mine took 4 coats lasting 20 min drying time between coats

Crown is a bit big for his head, but you can make the Takara stuff work.

Is there a replacement head or face for the figure?

No, but if you buy Skywarp or Thundercracker, you'll get some nice lighter faces that will fit Meteor as well.

You can use mp11. The balljoint is very close but it'll probably need popping off for transformation:

After seeing that pics, I kinda wonder if Takara is going to do a "+" repaint of Soundwave with white instead of silver.

Finally pulled the trigger on this guy today. I hope I get a week or two for my bank account to recharge before his buddies show up at BBTS.

Lower leg covers/vents, 3D printed using ABS, 0.30mm nozzle and 0.50mm layer height. Adds some detail to lower legs
STL file is on Shapeways, search term MTRM-11
