does anyone now what the blue roller looking piece is at the top of where the blue shin thrusters go? They don't seem to have any purpose yet appear to be a very specific piece under and protruding through the leg.

upload_2018-5-14_8-16-37.png I hope you don't mind me "borrowing" your image to re-ask my question. Does anyone know what the parts highlighted in my attached image are for?

Its the hinge that allows the leg to collapse, inside the leg there is a bar attached to that which connects to the upper leg.

Edit; quick pic from the back of the leg after opening it up

Is there a fix for the "nosecone falls off" issue? Mine has one that is stupid, "falls off if you look at it funny" loose, And I'm wondering if there's anything to be done.

Also, it seems like it should be super easy to work up an adapter for the "choked head" to work with mp-36, but I haven't seen anything on shapeways.

I finally emailed TCP for replacement parts for Meteor. They said they'll have to check with Maketoys first.

Late to the game on this and picked it up last weekend and it arrived yesterday. Love the posability but not a fan of the up /down sliding crotch. Echoing what others have also said the face is pretty dark and although I've never painted in terms of modelling I'm keen to give this a go. The one thing holding me back are the lighter faces on MakeToy's Thundercracker and Skywarp. I'm assuming it could be an easy swap out.

What decals have people used for his wings?

I use the clear back ocean water slides on my third party mps but the ones I get dont seem to have large enough symbols for the Seeker wings.

    Hey guys,

just got this guy at the Weekend from Kapow Toys and I have just got around to opening him up, but I noticed that the nosecone section seems to come un-tabbed when trying to fold screamers head inside when transforming - is this a defect and do I need to contact Kapow of Maketoys or is this just something that happens? Also is there anyway to get the crotch area to stay up from sliding down?

I used the dry rub ones that came with the Seeker KOs. I ordered some of the symbols separately from Rubadubspawn.

I did the same as @kibble. I don't love the shiny finish on the ones that come with the YM seekers but they are at least a good size. None of my preferred waterslides are large enough...

It's not a defect, it's designed to comec off so it doesn't break. When you're a little more familiar with how the parts move you'll be able to transform him without it coming off.

You could email Maketoys directly, it took a while but it worked out for me. There's a pinned page on this forum that has all third party contact info:

0E54D867-F42F-41F9-864C-31A98E593484.jpeg How to lighten his face:
    1. Use acrylic based model paint. I used Creatix silver and gold metallic acrylic paint mixed with a drop of flat black to get the desired color.
    2. Use a very small brush
    3. Remove the face of the figure and secure the back of the face on the sticky side of some tape. This will allow you to paint without having to touch the plastic.
    4. Dip your paintbrush in the paint and wipe most of it off on a paper towel. This is called a dry brush technique. Use this method and apply several coats for desired effect.
    5. mine took 4 coats lasting 20 min drying time between coats

Crown is a bit big for his head, but you can make the Takara stuff work.
