I don't think it does. I did not transform him yet...

Does it actually attach or is it just resting there?

The ball peg is almost identical on both figures... so it does attach. It's just a lot looser but I'm sure some nail polish or floor polish could make it have more tension.

Blutac is your friend. Easily reversible too.

Got this guy today and I'm actually really disappointed. Many of the hinges are loose. I find him really hard to stand. The stupid waist crotch slider thing keepa coming apart.

But the main problems are the stupid index fingers are pementantly stuck in the gun trigger position which means there's not quite enough clearance for them for jet mode. I've tried moving them hut they're so tight I'm positive I'll break them if I push any harder

On top of that the hinge for the hip flaps was broken out of the box. See the crack on the right side (his left)? It's pretty weak. I don't see it surviving more than one or two more transformations .

What exactly is Blutac? I've seen it mentioned before.

It's an adhesive putty like substance (a little firmer than playdough, and quite sticky) used for hanging posters and pictures etc. Sticks things to the wall without damaging paint. A small piece of it is great to non permanently attach things

You can usually pick it up from newsagents or supermarkets. Hardware stores if you get really stuck . I have some holding on his shin vents at the moment. It's also handy for those figures that struggle to hold their weapons. A small dot in the palm of their hands helps a lot.

Sorry to hear. On a good note he is quite sturdy if the feet are properly in place. Just try prying the hinges a bit more.
I had the same issue with mine out of the box until i wiggled the hinge out more. Now he stands like a champ!

I wasn't happy standing mine (even with the toes wiggled out) until I razored off the little plastic nubs sticking out from the middle of the foot. Much better now.

Which nubs? I had a look at mines feet (he stands great by the way) and can't for the life of me figure out which bits you are talking about?

Wow, thanks for posting these I can see things I was missing before. Still not enough to get me to pull the trigger on this guy but it's a big improvement over what Takara is bringing to the table. Very nice!

Thanks! Pics are one thing, but in hand Meteor is a very solid figure... & sadly Takara seekers are & have always been a floppy mess. I forgot how annoying handling a Takara seeker figure was until I used Starscream for these pics. Every time you pick these seekers up they come apart somewhere... even YESModel/BB7 improved the design. It's sad to know the official & most expensive of all the seeker figures is likely the worse in quality. Can't wait to see the rest of these guys done by Maketoys. Hopefully the coneheads are next!

Great pics, and I very much agree, Meteor is a fantastic figure! I have minimal issues with it, really. I might have preferred the color on the face sculpt be just a hair lighter, but even that is a very minor nitpick. I did buy a set of the shin thrusters from jream because they really look like they make an already great figure even better, but aside from that and adding the decepticon symbols, I don’t think I’m going to do much else to mine.

Thanks! I also ordered the shin thrusters & the chest vents. Looking forward to adding them to this guy.
Does jream usually provide tracking info before shipping out? This is my first purchase from him.

He sent me tracking info for the thrusters, when he shipped them.

Got these quicker than expected, along with @jream 's shin enhancers. I'll snap some quick pics tomorrow. I also need to find a paint to match for the wing fillers since they only come in ultra frosted detail from Shapeways.
