Also, a while ago I recall someone talking about tabs s/he had shaved off to make transformation easier and less stressful to the plastic. Can someone here direct or comment on such a process? Thanks.

Man, those do look nice. It’s kind of a shame I never noticed the lack of them until I clicked the link. Ignorance was bliss.

 

Oh... I'd like to get this toy to animate, but I just can't "wing" it at the moment. That animator is doing some great work. A step by step transformation in stop motion is gruelling work to do. It's one of the least fun parts of my reviews... at least for me. Quick transformations are awesome fun. This bot looks super fun to work with.

From the looks of your pic. The foot is the culprit. The blue part of his foot on the bottom has to be able to adjust better. Even from the rear picture the thruster heel looks less visible like it’s not at the same length. Man I want this guy. The thought of unloading all my seekers and cone heads to start over kills me.

 

What paint did you use for that face?

Also if you're good at color matching is like to have a good matching paint for these wing inserts.

Meteor / Starscream Wing Panels by autotronprime on Shapeways

 

Has anyone bought the wing fillers from shapeways and installed them? I remember autotronprime saying in this thread a while back that the design needed to be tweaked, and I never saw an update. Has the design been fully updated? Is it good to go?

 

Paint was Tamiya TS-67 ijin grey and TS-85 bright mica red for the eyes.

As above though I'm not sure if these got tweaked or not.
@autotronprime are the wing fillers on shapeways good to go now?

 

I'd assume the inserts are ready, since he's got a picture of them in a real figure. Granted, those gray inserts were printed from his own machine, and uploaded the design to Shapeways.

(And no, he isn't selling that version, I already asked.)

I also just sent a message asking him to confirm that these are out of prototype phase.

Okay, the shin vent add-ons fixed my only major problem with this thing. Anyone want to sell me one with them already installed?

Nice DC collection down below. Who is that behind Superman? Looks like he's holding a hammer.

 

Besides just really enjoying Meteor aesthetically, I enjoy the fact that I can push in one ear and get that Jose Delbo look.  

 

I believe the issues have been cleared for the ultra fine detail. No other materials work though.
