Got mine yesterday and man am I glad I held out for this guy. The old MP11 was nice for its time, but this guy is a huge improvement.
I just wish he came with a flight stand, but for the price point I cant complain too loudly.
I also painted his face silver, it makes a world of difference!

Technically it is Tamiya Flat Aluminum, but potato/ potatoe

For those who have painted Meteor's face: Do you have any advice for how to not screw up his eyes? I'm afraid I'll accidentally paint over the red.

Just got mine yesterday. There are a few nitpicks on him that are bugging me: Loose hinges on the tail fins; the crotch slider/waist rotation/ab crunch joints are a bit fiddly when posing; and the corner of the upper thigh gets in the way of doing a thigh rotation when posing.

I'm looking forward to playing with him more to see if he grows on me. But right now I'm surprised that more people seemed to put Meteor on year-end lists than Downbeat (who, I think, knocked it out of the park).

Also gotta say: I'm not digging Maketoys' thing for tiny heads! :/

Yeah the tail fins are floppy on mine too, seems to be universal. It's not really a problem but it does feel weirdly cheap for an otherwise top shelf figure.

    Its posability is... something.

For me TaoBao. Cost me US$115 shipped. As I live in Aus, I'd pay a heap for shipping from US stores. Next cheapest would have been Show.Z at US$128. YMMV

Just pretty much accept you'll paint over his eyes, go for it, and then touch them up afterward. I used an airbrush to paint the face. Then used a very fine brush (a 20/0) to paint the eyes back in. Luckily they're reasonably small and quite deep set so it's easy enough to do and make look alright

Has anyone tried shaving away the back of Meteor's head so that he can look up? Anyone got pictures of what exactly you shaved?

I think I remember seeing something somewhere in the thread, but 224 pages is a lot to search through!

After some deliberation, I'll be selling off my Howling Meteor. Want to use the funds toward another 3rd party purchase, plus I don't have the desire to reset my MP Seeker and Conehead collection. Hit me up for price and photos.

So just got mine own Metor & was wondering if anyone has installed this ATP design on their figure.

Meteor / Starscream Wing Panels by autotronprime on Shapeways

If so, did you paint them? What color did you use? I checked w/ ATP & the sample inserts were done on his home computer, so that's not an option.

If there's another option for wing inserts let me know. Also please quote my post so I get a notification, or PM me.

Can you circle that part you suspect is causing the issue?

If @evilwithin suggestion didn't help, check his feet. They're on double-hinged ratchets, and one of the ratchets is a lot stronger. If the two joints aren't in the same position in both feet that will make him crooked.

The shin upgrades are a must, after seeing them missing now...yes. I want those. I'll have to order them first before I get him.

    Hmm,
That shade of grey came out a bit darker than I was expecting, but on the shelf his face is definitely much more distinct and its not getting lost in the gloom so to speak, so I think I'm happy enough overall.

Best get his smirk face done then, with that and the shin thruster upgrades courtesy of our resident design wizard @jream I think he's good to go......

.....might do some paint highlights on the null rays yet, they are pretty plain looking after all :)
