Starscream payback! by ricemaster76, on Flickr
MP-36's back really needs a cover plate.
Modfans has it and it.ko mp-36.
Hopefully they will come with their SW and TC.
This thing looks beautiful... but as I already have the Takara Seekers, I just cannot justify the investment. If I get this Starscream, then I am OCD enough to need the rest. I cannot do it.
Though if someone was to release the choking hand and head that is compatible with MP-36, I might bite the bullet.
I'm in the same boat as you and hoping a correction for the up coming seekers, as well as fillers for SS but I'm not that optimistic that will happen. At least its on the back of the figure and not the front/sides that you can see all this.
Yes, foldable buffoon butt please.
Still lovin' this guy.
Starscream with another 80's bad guy
Or was it?

This last year I found myself tremendously tempted to get into the third-party scene. Planet X’s Vulcun and Meteor are both amazing. But still, something just doesn’t feel right about it. I know it’s silly, but I can’t shake that feeling. I know the quality of third-party figures has skyrocketed in recent years but it still feels like a huge risk.
Long time no see.
Do it. (enter palpatine meme here.)
Not sure what's risky about it. The worst 3Ps have got to a point where most people would be content with their releases if there's no better option, and the best 3Ps are on par or better than what Takara puts out.
Chris Latta lives!
It's risky because it's addictive, and expensive: they're generally cheaper than official ones, but there are so many 3p products...
Quality wise, if you are on these boards, you're safe. You can easily know if a product has got issues. For example, nobody broke their Meteor.
And, unlike official products, with 3p it's relatively easy to get replacement parts.
Surprized this figure didnt make it to the top 10..I guess most already have mp-11 and didnt wanna go through the trouble of selling it to get this one
It's in my top 10
All the best
I got a great Hasbro edition of MP Starscream. But just like emgo316's review, it's showing it's age, while Meteor looks like it would match the quality of MP36 Megatron.
So a few people are modding the wings and legs - anyone thinking about making nipple fans to fit in the chest? Not having those is fine by me but it's never bad to have options, and some people really wanted them. You could probably copy the design from MP-11 and upsize it a smidge until it fits snugly. I have no idea how to do those sorts of things though. I'm just thinking out loud.
Honestly, the leading 3P makers are on par with TT and in some cases ahead these days. Though of course it varies from bot to bot - I recommend watching a lot of reviews to get an idea. But QC is mostly really good (personally I've had worse luck with some official moulds), and there's always return policies if anything goes seriously wrong.
Don't let your dreams be...
Oh wait, wrong meme.
