I wish Takara would've just done an entirely new mold instead, like Maketoys. I'd still get it though, if I couldn't get the MT version.

They will, they just had to milk the mold as much as they can. It literally prints money.

I bet even they think it sucks. In the meantime, MT it is.

Yeah, I wonder how Takara is going to handle a V3.0, if they get around to it....
The MT one is going to be my default mp Starscream for a long time, I absolutely love it! It's just what I would want in a Scream figure.
I'm just so impatient for the release of him. =)

Main release is supposedly around the middle of this month so probably the week of the 16th.

Great review, just finished watching. Same thing happened to me on the wing slides going to alt mode where I finally remembered about it.

Dunno, they might be out in HK late next week. I don't have him on order and won't until I know I'll have the money to do so its no big deal to me.

How did you get that impression? Paik was obviously still getting use to some aspects of how his parts move in his video and made some minor mistakes on the way like we all do the first couple of times we handle something new with many moving pieces. Sort of thing that becomes vastly easier with practice.

The irony of this figure is that it now makes MP-11 fit in closer with the Hasui-aesthetics(G1 toon cues with G1 toy details hybrid). While Howling Meteor fits in a lot with the current direction(Kobayashi return, higher emphasis on G1 toon look). For Starscream fans it's a good time; we have options.

I still want this despite having MP-03 and MP-11.

I think the c-clip issue can be easily fixed by taking a piece of a thin rubber hose, cut it and put it over the pin where the clip clips on. That way it should stick much better. Or just some transparent nailpolish on the pin can do the trick as well.

    Stolen from P4l's review:

Good comparison. Mp11 colour and lack of ankle tilt makes it look archaic imo but they did get the head right.

I didn't see PAiks review, I watched RFC. The nose cone transformation popped off a few times. The tail wingspans waist/crotch look super loose.

The cad files are protected in an oxygen free vault guarded by the best in japan. Just like mp10 and probably mp36.

I like some things about this guy and he looks more toon than the official, but to me he just doesn't look like he is a "masterpiece" figure. IMHO he doesn't fit with the rest of my collection, looking more Hasbro leader type figure. But each to their own. Glad he is out there for those who are excited!

I do like how much more posable he is than MP-11 but there is a sacrifice in aesthetics for me. I would be just trading one set of problems for another.

I guess I'll stick with MP-11 for now, but if another 3P steps up to the plate and delivers a more Hasui styled seeker mold, I would be interested. That may never happen though, considering it is such a niche-within-a-niche requirement.
