Freshness over quantity! The Godmasters are dialling up my excitement to 11 for sure, but Megatron ... Seekers ... yay, but also a little meeehhh.

Fresh Con meat. Fressshh. New characters. Haven't seen before. Daddy want. Please make.

That'd be one way nice to differentiate it from MP-28 (Assuming that TT doesn't do a Hot Rod repaint with targetmaster variant down the road ... the mould has limited re-use potential, no? Normally just the evil version).

I thought there would be some pics of all their new stuff, but I guess TF Con is only a little over 12 weeks away now

And they have the Dreadwing and Darkwing sets coming as well. Two crazy obscure Decpticon characters that should satiate and desire for oddball Decpticons.

I am actually pretty excited for those guys and this one.

After getting a peak at the Contact Shot over the weekend, I can only imagine how they will be handling this one.

This is just my opinion, I would guess rather then Crosshairs being more popular than Con Targetmasters, more likely it has a special nostalgia place in the heart of MT's designer. If they are doing them all anyway (fingers crossed), then mixing characters which everyone wants with the ones your employees want the most to make them happy makes sense. There is a good argument for releasing the most popular first, but it could hurt the line down the road if there are no more popular characters left to mix in.

e-mail them and let them know that you want to see some Decepticon Targetmasters. They do pass on suggestions to the design crew and from what I have been able to piece together is that their designers are big fans of the 87-88 lineup.
Assuming Contact Shot and Recticle sell well, I could easily see them doing a Not-Sureshot and then moving on to the Destron trio. BTW speaking of Targetmasters anyone thinking Maketoys might do a Hellfire/Wrestle retool into a Not-Artfire?

Okay, I just found out about this and I couldn't be happier, Crosshairs was always my favorite Targetmaster and Maketoys is usually pretty sick. Can't wait for him and Contact Shot to hang out with my Brainwave and that Cupola I keep meaning to buy.

Does anyone know if this will be a 2016 release?

I want maketoys to focus on two things for the next three years. Headmaster and target masters and nothing else

Throw in Power/Godmasters, and that's what I'm hoping for as well.

They've said that their current plan is to balance their efforts between the Re:master and Cross Dimension lines in 2017. They'll definitely be making more target and headmasters but that won't be their only focus.

Is the X dimension even that popular? I don't even give that line a second look.

I don't have hard sales numbers for you but both Striker Manus and Rioter Despotron sold out at many online retailers in very short order. It seems to be receiving a fair amount of attention and it fully deserves it. The figures it has produced so far have been excellent.

Maketoys has me sold on this with Hardhead and Point Blank. Crosshairs is good as bought unless there is something seriously wrong with it.
