Honestly, I still would choose Gun Dog over Willis without a moment's hesitation. But having seen the latest Willis pix, I'm more impressed Thani thought. I prefer the G1 toy-style legs, but the Willis legs don't look too bad. The wheel inside the leg is done fairly cleverly.

You've been misinformed about the diecast issue or haven't looked in the thread for him. Willis has plenty- he's just as heavy as Gundog to my hands.

On their looks, each to their own. I had Gundog but he was a little too "buff" looking for me- but he best represents the G1 toy best. Plus, he's a great figure overall.

Gundog was ok, I had it. But I always knew that he would be replaced once Willis was out. Hound being one of my most memorable transformers my mom got me as a kid. After I had Gundog in hand, he just didn't capture g1 hound to me. Felt like I chunky chug figure. Too bulky and thick. Willis is on his way and I couldn't be happier. The good thing is we all at least have more than one choice for Hound.

Thats actually why I don't like him. I really, really dislike his legs/feet.

I think if someone was going for the Toon look (most do I'm sure) that Willis wins over Gundog TN... For someone like me, that displays them along side their G1 figures, the Gundog TY does a great job.

I, personally, would NOT be happy with a Toon Gundog in my collection and would replace with Willis... but he's not perfect either, just more Toon accurate :)

But, you wouldn't have the correct display ;)

They aren't my preference either, not by a long shot. But on Maz's review, they don't look nearly as bad as I initially thought.

Are there comparison reviews out there of Gundog and Willis?

IMG_9535.JPG I prefer the toy based look Of Gundog. I kept Willis too though since Hound was my number two behind Optimus. Never did get him as a kid but my friend had him so I got to spend plenty of time with him.

Does anyone know if I have a hope in hell of getting a replacement for Toon Gundog's left leg? A robot dance party with my son ended with a catastrophic fall and the ankle tilt sheared. If I can find a junker from someone I'll be thrilled, but is there a supplier contact or something that might help? Thanks for anything.

A shitload of pages back, people were talking about Maketoys sending out repair parts.

    I've emailed MT.

Anyone aware of anywhere still selling this figure? I was going to buy one from TFSource but they sold out before I could get it a few months back.

I have a toy color one I'm looking to unload. No box, everything will be loose, but I'll let it go for a good price. PM me if you're interested

I haven't seen a new one out for sale for a while. Both him and Willis seem to clear out pretty quickly whenever I see some new stock come in.
