so in essence... when you give him a boner, he's got moves.
Yup. In Tfao's pics above, you can see where the part separates.
And boomerdave is all too right about how painful it is to get that part popped outward. Luckily it's a solid figure that can take a little abuse.
Thanks guys. I noticed that in the manual too, but it really didn't seem to want to move.
Just so I don't break it, does it pull straight out, or at an angle?
EDIT: GOT IT! Holy hell it shouldn't be that hard to do.
My advice is just to forget the "pop out" peice, you might wind up breakin something. If any of six are prone to breakage it is that one.
What I do is I tend to not plug it back in. Once it's out, I just kind of push back a little to keep it out of the way, but leaving it unplugged doesn't hurt anything in either mode so long as it's not fully extended.
If anybody is looking to buy one I'd part with my loose green one for $250 shipped.
Long shot, but does anyone have an extra Yellow Giant Crane/Hook version figure or parts?!? A part of mine broke and it is bugging the hell out of me. Pretty sure MakeToys will tell me to get bent if I ask for a replacement part.
This is the best combiner ever made. It has the best box art, best proportions
Don't @ me
This set is finding new life in my collection as the ideal size combiner for DX9 War In Pocket scaled figures. (Hulkie is too small in combined mode)
I still am not in love with the individual bot designs simply because they depart way further than they "should have" from the source material but the combiner still looks great!
Any easy fix for the little bit that keeps hook's crane arm from folding in half? Finally decided to try posing him with the crane arm folded and of course... The tiny tab on top sheers right off that's what I get for going against the g1 gods haha.
Just try to build the nub back up with some epoxy and hope for the best?
