So long as they don't give it a cone helmet, yes.
MT can call it whatever they want, as long as they make it!
This. Definitely this.
This guy and Sonic Convoy better come after the other two. I think these designs really suit Maketoys' sleek proportion action figure design style.
Out of Beast Wars, Unicorn Trilogy and TF Prime, Galaxy Force had the best CGI designs aside from G1.
He was called Thundercracker when he changed colour, at least in the dub. If I remember correctly, he said the name himself.
In the dub,he mentioned he looked like thundercracker(if i recall). But he didn't turn into thundercracker. He was still called starscream.
If the US release is the 20th then sweet means the HK sellers should have him in next week. Can't wait to press that spring loaded leg panel button over and over, I imagine it'll be quite distracting just like the wing swords.
Hmm, looks like you're right. It's been many years since I've watched Armada. That being said, the toy itself was called Thundercracker outside of Japan.
Yup, it was an dirty move by hasbro.
But, just as the odd optimus repaint, it was his 'powerlink' recolor (more "powerful"), just as megatron was galvatron.
It was still starscream but in a more "powerful" self.
Yea that's what hasbro did to sell repaints throughout the unicron trilogy toyline. For example, the repaint of energon jetfire was named "overcast".The repaint of energon cliffjumper was named "beachcomber".Even though the characters did change colours in the show, their names stuck but the toys were changed to "trick parents/children into thinking that they are different characters ---> toys".The only reason why I know this was because I used to hunt energon figures and couldn't seem to find the repainted characters until I found out they were named differently.Sigh...the hours I spent sifting through amazon...
So you're all saying this should be my birthday present to myself, right? I mean it's an awesome Starscream, so why not? I think the only figure I ever picked up from the Cybertron line was Excellion..
Actually, it was "Powerlinx", but yeah, otherwise you're right.
If you change your mind, I'd always be happy for you to buy it for me as your birthday present.
Wow, didn't know about that one. Was there a Ramjet-like recolor? I definitely would prefer MT doing conehead repaints versus Thundercracker and Skywarp re-paints.
Your birthday october too cram?
I hope they do a Vector Prime and Leo Breaker and Wing Saber for the Optimus that's coming. I was on the fence with this til they Showed Megatron/ Galvatron and Prime to go along with this. Hoping they go back and take on Energon Prime and Wingsaber as well.
First version of the mold I owned back in the day (certainly not the last; just need SG). Would be thrilled to see them do this deco.
I can accept that Thundercracker since there never WAS a Thundercracker version of any Cybertron Starscream mold (in fact he was the odd one out) but that Skywarp....leaves me with odd feelings. They just followed Starscream's pattern; I really wanted to see them base it on the SDCC Legends Skywarp with the silver chest.
I know that I would like to see Ransack and Crumplezone in this line but I need to be honest with myself and I would rather have this guy....
NOISEMAZE (Not Sideways)
This guy would be great as a MP and has at least two repaint values (white trooper version from GF and G1 Scurage).
As for Galaxy Meteor I really want a SG version but I feel that if I'm ever to own one I got to show my love to MT by purchasing this guy....
After getting into high school I stopped collecting TF but only got a few things from Armada & Energon but Cybertron got me back into collecting. Unfortunately I had to sell most of my Cybertron collection for more room and that the toys weren't really that good.
This is probably gonna be that time we're I want something more than just G1 (as much as I love that) and what can I say Galaxy Meteor looks like a sexy beast!
Thought I'd mention this here, I just put a bunch of UT stuff in my sales thread.
So, is it safe to assume this is the stock/shipment date for all the other retailers like TCP, BBTS, TFS, etc?
That is one of the best/most underrated transformers of all time and I would saw my arm off for a M/T version, provided the doctors can reattach it before he ships.
IIRC, the words were "I look like... Thundercracker?"
I'm pretty sure this was covered when we had "Orson's World" here. Thundercracker was intended to be a different character in the US. They didn't realize Takara was going to make it a "super mode" in the cartoon. So Aaron Archer I believe made sure he was still a separate character. They also made several other "power up" characters into new characters to sell more toys. I can tell you it worked, because I bought them. Because he didn't make it in time, a few things didn't get their names changed as intended... Powerlinx Cyclonus was supposed to be Springer, and Energon Energon Ironhide was supposed to be called Hound (even a Previews listing had him listed as Energon Hound). I'm sure there are others...
Hey, it worked for me. I wanted to be a character completest and making all of those repaints as new characters got me to buy them. Often times, the repaints looked better than the original.
Separate names with a comma.
