Recolours are budgeted differently than the original release, since they don't have to factor in the tooling costs anymore. These'll probably be a more limited run (since they're non-canon), but they're banking on the fans who buy their Seekers in the classic set of three sight unseen.

These actually probably exist in part to help offset the loss of profits on the original release. Even if there weren't as many unique buyers as hoped/expected, they can probably get a number of those fans to triple-dip instead.

Y'know guys, if the line does well enough, they may get to making an actual cartoon accurate mold for Thundercracker. That repainted Galaxy Meteor is nothing more than an easy cash grab for them, so don't lose hope.

Yeah, now they've shocked enough of us to preorder, I've cancelled mine and holding out for SG.

Between this and PM Nemesis Prime not including the extra bits regular PM Prime is coming with (I've already paid and shipped my Nemesis colours, and preorders for the regular set went up this week) means I'll be holding out for the recolour I want on this.

It will come, if they want money, which, given their questionable bait-and-switch on this particular mold, (and PM Prime), they are getting more adept at.

You know, for a SG Starscream release they could just call him "Galaxy Skywing", since Skywing is their Skyfire name, and SG Starscream is in Skyfire colors.

My initial visit to TCP had them sold out. Went back a little later and the guy told me they found a box and had like six left. I was able to pick one up. He's fantastic

    Don't judge bro.

Sometimes you need a scare tactic to get the hype train rolling :lol

I really hope that TCP will be getting their store shipment in ASAP so I can have this guy in my hands pretty soon.

Animated Skywarp was a retool of Armada Starscream.

This is transformers toy business, so made ip recolors do not have to match the lore. Even Planet X had Acidstorm and Sunstorm.

Erm no, animated skywarp was a repaint of animated starscream.

Armada skywarp was a retool of armada starscream, armada thundercracker was a repaint that never appeared in fiction, with starscream simply stating that he "looked like thundercracker" in the episode where he changed colors to blue.

This!!! My bank account is about to run quite the gauntlet between now and December, starting with the final payment on my Nintendo switch, and ending with MP-36...

Mr. Spock and I agree with you entirely. However, it appears that with regards to MakeToys, logic is overrated. ;)

Sounds like TCP hopes to start fulfilling pre-orders shortly after they return to home base, so figure in 1-2 weeks, but almost definitely October.
