I honestly would prefer a Powerlinx Armada Starscream/Thundercracker homage instead of a G1 color scheme.

Much as I love that eras toys in general most Galaxy Force/Cybertron figures at best had as much articulation as the figures of today do (most anyway; rare exceptions like Hasbro longhaul exist). Most noticeable thigh swivels have become much more standard and a lot of figures either lacked elbow swivels (like CD Hotshot/Exegeyser) or didn't have much in the realm of outward shoulder movement (Hot Shot/Exillion). Definitely more consistent than the two predacessors but still.

The more I think about it, the more I want MT to finish up their Headmasters and Targetmasters and then follow up with UT stuff from then on out.

Yes, yes, and yes! That's like one of the best color schemes in cybertron trilogy. Hoping for two repaints out of this but I'm not sure if that would happen. And if they don't make an updated armada TC I'm hoping they would at least release a blue repaint out of this mold. I'm guessing they probably have a firmer plan to repaint the G1 screamer than this cybertron one, but who knows if this thing sells like hotcake, I guess more is possible.

If I had to speculate I'd say this will be a slow burn. At first only people who really love cyb will buy but once word really gets out about it being just a solid toy I'm hoping others will buy it based on that merit.

All I know is that I have nothing else coming up until this guy hits, so I'm more than ready for him.

This thing is so nice in hand. Testshot to testshot, you can tell how much more design and engineering love this figure got compared to Howling Meteor.

Loose joints, which are common on test shots, are about the only issue I've noticed. Would love individually articulated fingers but otherwise it's really nice.
