I ordered my Battle Tanker from Kapow a couple of days ago and I see nothing to change my order. I couldn't give a shit that you have to boil a piece to get it work, seriously?

Remember when you had to boil Toybiz Marvel Legends to unfreeze joints? Hell most Hasbro items come with a warped gun or sword or whatever that need heating through reshaping and resetting.

Thanks for the heads up OP, I'll be caregul with mine. A lot of these complaints seem... nitpicky.

Its a third party add-on to an existing toy, they're NEVER perfect. City Commander has his rediculously tight leg fittings, Protector has his wonky face. If boiling is too far for you don't buy and don't moan.

I figured for $45 , why not. I'm in the midst of drilling many tiny holes in the backing framework to that I can bolt it together with small machine bolts & nuts.

Back to topic though, I saw where Toy Arena's site will have them by 12/31. I preordered mine from BBTS on 11/21, I'm hoping they get theirs sooner. If only I'd gotten in on the initial TF Source order, but then I wouldn't be getting the head fix in case I need it. Guess its better this way, just wish it would hurry up already....

Does anyone know if the new pieces still need to be boiled?
Or is the new head 2 pieces?
Maybe I can dremel out the cup to fit better?
The reason I ask is if i decide to get rid of it later...I don't want to break it off.

Definitely can't boil it at too high a temp - boiling water is always 212ºF (100ºC). Yes, there are ways to superheat, but if you're doing it at home, in a pot on a stove, that's the limit.

Only the first release of the Battle Tanker is intended to come with the drift sword. The head fix appears to be a seperate deal since BBTS updated their order page for the first release to state that it would come with the head fix kit. The description still states that it comes with the swords.

My guess is that MT got wind of the head problem early enough so they could notify retailers about the head fix kit before they started filling pre-orders.

Given the quick turnaround, It seems that they had this head already designed.

I for one like how quickly MT has recoginized the problem and has issued a repair kit. Sure this may not be an earth shattering problem for most people who get this kit, but it's nice to know that MT cares enough about their products to fix things right away.

I still want to get this, but I really dislike upgrade kits that require you to replace pieces.

well, even then the only difference between the original crotch piece and the replacement are a couple slots cut out so the crotch armor [?] can tab into it

    itd still look perfectly fine

Is there already a prefered Prime for this set between the RTS and United OPs?

Are there any side by side comparisons of the two different Primes decked out in Battle Tanker armor?
