Warm up the new head with hot water for a few minutes, then try to put in on without applying too much force. If it doesn't work put it back in the hot water a bit longer and try again.

I boiled my head a few different times (4 times?) at intervals of 30 seconds (so, 2 minutes?) until it popped onto the balljoint easily.

I'd *highly* recommend putting a finger underneath the panel the neck's balljoint sits on, to help steady it & keep it from shifting (which might result in snapping the neck's balljoint!)...

Not much force, slightly less then it would take to pop the cap off a ball point pen( that is not stuck).

Water should be boiling, use chop sticks or tongs to hold it in the water.

Contact the retailer you purchased it from and ask about the head replacement.

I have the second head so I do not know about the first. There are people that boilded the head that say it works perfectly and other who broke the figure.

I think the key is to boil the head enough and those that broke the neck didn't do that.

It's moot though, 'cause he already got the head attached :)
