Encore is plastic. The one I played with in 86 was plastic too.

I am glad you got it fixed. I wonder if it is a problem with all of the encore Megatrons or just some. I guess I will know when I finally get mine from HLJ.

 

I don't think it's the encore he has, but one of the many other Takara reissues.

 

That's not the encore figure in that photo. The encore figure's gray plastic has a bit of a tan tint to it. in fact, that's not even a reissue. the shoulder molding is that of the first G1 Megatrons. the ridged pattern on his shoulder was flattened in later runs in G1 and for all the reissues.

and yep, that first run G1 megatron in that pic has plastic parts holding it's legs on.

 

Yeah, mine is legit - unless somebody got the packaging for a Takara #6 reissue and put a knockoff in there  

It hasn't got the orange tip, and when I say $175, I'm talking Australian dollars - so roughly $135-150 US I'd think.

 

My TFC has plastic bits there.

Are people talking about the same part????
