MST reveals head design for upcoming Datsun-bros:

 

Hope they turn out well; I need earth-mode versions of all three. Since Sideswipe is getting a G2 release maybe MS can release Smokescreen in his Alternator color scheme. I'd pick that up.

It is cool to see the head designs, but I really curious to see some color or painted test shots of the Stunticons or Blaster.

Yes! Can finally get rid of those Ark Studio efforts!  

 

I like the combo packs for reduced overall cost because of needing less packaging, but I'd prefer them broken up and sold with other characters, if they're not sold individually. With Jazz, Mirage and Hound in the works maybe they could each be partnered with one of them?

 

Hope MS do Skids, Tracks, Perceptor, Rodimus and Megatron, plus the rest of the minibots. We seem to have most of the G1 cast from 84-86, plus some later years in the form of the headmasters, Etc from other companies and the planned ones from MS such as Hoist, Trailbreaker, Mirage, Hound, Wheeljack, Jazz, Blaster, Etc. Happy times    

 

If cost savings is big enough I would appreciate all three bundled together, but individually packaged is fine too.
I am curious if they have any tricks to change up the transformation.

They seem to be concentrating on the carbots so Tracks seems likely. I worry about Skids since he didn't really appear in the cartoon. There doesn't seem to be a lot of enthusiasm for the minibots. But I would like MS to produce S1/S2 minibots plus Wheelie.
I am ready to replace my IF Perceptor; either with a G1 version or a new IDW version from IF.

 

I'll get excited once prototypes are shown.  

 

Well damn. More stuff to buy! At this point I’m hoping they show us a Ratchet & Ironhide as the Dx9 versions will be to small and the hot soldiers versions too large.

 

They told me that their current plans are 18 Autobots and 13 Decepticons. So far, not counting repaints, we have

That leaves one more to be announced, unless I missed one. They don't shy away from the suggestion of doing Optimus every time someone says it, and I'd kinda count on it since they're taking a crack at Megatron. He was also the most popular single character in their recent poll.

Tracks was on the poll too, but scored low. Prowl scored second, with Hot Rod in 3rd.

Maybe there's two additionals since there really isn't any mould differences between the Datsuns, which would mean three more unannounced Autobots?

They showed a Blaster at one point as well. I would still "need" a Sunstreaker, Ironhide, Ratchet and Cliffjumper personally.

 

Oh that's right! Blaster & Ramhorn. There's your 18. Collect them all so they do more.

Guess I’m not getting my hopes up for Battle Chargers, but Insecticons would be nice, and I’d consider going in twice or thrice on that.

Now, if they’re doing Megatron, I wonder if Soundwave and the Seekers will follow.

And, counting Cyclonus, Menasor and Megs, that leaves us with six ‘Cons. I know there’s a clamor for Blitzwing, Astrotrain, and Octane and I’d maybe go for the choo choo dude. But, if we count them in—a big if of all three, then there are three. So, it’s either the Seekers, likely—if redundant, or maybe the Insecticons, less likely but more welcome. Still, I could easily see a Soundwave over or Octane, or neither and surprises will abound!  

I’ve been between GT and MFT as it comes to Megs. But, given what Magic Square is repping with Magnus, I think I know what my first Legends Megatron may be.

Finally, while I wouldn’t actually recommend watching Headmasters, I’d still like to see an MS Sixshot, even if Cyclonus is more frequently Magnus’ foe.

 

Particularly seconded on skids, and exceptionally seconded on Rodimus!

Nice to see the datsuns, as I’m a particular fan of prowl, but I hope they don’t end up just focusing on the 84/5 crowd. Would like to see some 87/88 guys from them in particular.

Also, hope they do some remoulding for chunky cartoon smokescreen!

Others they could do are Ironhide and Ratchet, Scourge, Springer, Wreck Gar, Wheelie, a G1 styled Skyfire, Perceptor, Superion, Star Saber and Victory Leo, Deathsaurus, Liokaiser, Sixshot, Decepticon triple changers. And since the seekers are sold out maybe them too and a G1 style Shockwave. I'm fine on Megatron's part but I wouldn't mind a g2 Megatron. With Galvatron I think the MFT version is good enough he is a much more powerful and rightfully bigger Megatron. Although is there anybody doing a legends scale city sized Fortmax and Scorponok

 

Skyfire has been done by IF, there are both HS and DX9 versions of Ironhide & Ratchet, MFT and DX9 versions of Scourge, IF and MFT Sixshot & Shockwave. TR Fort Max could be used for a city sized version, like Metroplex. I’d like a smaller Springer than the Legends+ version released and we could do with a better version of Wreck Gar than the Hasbro version.
