Looks very nice, but I'm still not dropping ~$100 on this unless I see a lot of evidence it won't have the rampant quality control problems of MP-03 (and, to a lesser extent, MP-01).

Megatron looks great, I have a couple of reservations about how the head locks in is all.

 

Just copy the pic and paste it into MS paint and hit magnify. These are things anyone can do.

 

If it was hot pink it "could" be realistic if that's how any military painted it's F15s.

But they don't. So it wouldn't be. Just as MP Screamer's current scheme isn't.

I'll defend MP3 Starscream. His only flaw is he feels too fragile if you ask me. But I bought him because of his coloring as a realistic fighter jet and mine in no way looks green. He shipped as a fighter jet and I transformed him once (very carefully) and then leave him as a robot because he doesn't feel like he's sturdy enough to take the stress of multiple transformations.

I haven't decided if I'll buy Megatron or not. My thing is that I like realistic Alt modes and I don't need a handgun that's larger than a semi-truck.

There's a lot of things Michael Bay might be doing that I'm not fond of, but not having unrealistic size changes for a realistic-style movie is a good choice.

I might hope:

1) for a MPE of the movie Cybertonian jet for the Alt form

or better

2) Megatron adopts a new earth mode Alt form in a forthcoming Michael Bay sequel.

I was just gonna say that, too. The features aren't defined enough and it looks asymmetrical. Otherwise it looks like a worthy piece to add to my collection, however.
