What? It's shitty, and the head looks huge. I'm not going to get my panties in a bunch over something that expensive with such a glaring error as that!

Oh, don't be silly.   I wanted 90% hot paint job, and it looks like we got 75 is all.

In the main image l.h.s., the face and parts of the chest look unpainted and the head bucket and red sides/ buttons of the torso look like someone just spray painted D.I.Y. cheapo silver and red over the prototype.

I would emphasise it's the close up far left that looks crook though, not the smaller ones r.h.s. so I need close ups of those if anyone can manage it, before I make my mind up.






I am scarily, the only one who feels this though, and so naturally put myself up for pedant ridicule.

I think it looks poopy, especially given the quality of the rest of the toy. If I didn't buy Starscream because I hated the paintjob, I'm not buying this to be bothered by the headsculpt.

 

The paint of the figure in the pic looks fine but this is probably just a hand painted prototype. MP-1 and MP-3's quality of paint along with many other TFs rarely look like what was seen in the promo, stock and magazine images. The bad news is they tend to look worse in the mass release versions.

The head looking shitty is a matter of personal opinion but I'm really lost about how the head looks huge. It looks between normal and small from from where I'm sitting.

 

I thought it was impossible to want this TF more but I waas wrong. (paces back and forth).

 

I don't know, the head looks sort of too big. Still buying anyway and very much looking forward to it.

 

Is it at all possible his fusion cannon is from the original? I still find it really strange they sculpted in the Microman handlebars.

I just can't see how anyone could be disappointed with this.

It's about as show-accurate as you could ever hope for, and is about 1000x better than the G1 toy (which was fugly, akward, and transformed for crap).

Only thing I could see anyone having an issue with would be the size of the scope. A but big, maybe. But definitely intimidating looking.

 

Ehhh, I appreciate that he's an impressive figure but he's just not really doing it for me. Really don't like the head (something seems off about it) and he just seems so thin (yeah kinda unavoidable given that he turns into a gun).

 

Ironically MP SS' colours aren't actually that accurate.

 

I have no problem with the head size at all (?), but it's little things about the paint job that disappoint me here this morning rather than me standing up and trashing it as "all wrong"

The red eyes don't shine or catch the light like Primes, the buttons on his torso look childishly spray painted, etc ..

I dunno I just feel "Meh" as opposed to "Holy shit! I gotta get!" now, and I didn't before I saw this.

Anyone else in this boat or just me?

you know i really feel sorry for takara, whatever they make, half the people love it the other half hate it, its all relative i suppose and for what its worth, i love it. and if i can find a job by march i will be buying one
