He's annoying anyways. Eli Manning needs to be on the cover of the next Madden game. :Gouki:

I can't help but laugh since Madden himself is on the cover of the '07 Special Edition.

Eli Manning > Jake Plummer for next year's Madden cover. Besides, Jay Cutler will be QBing by second half of the season.

I vote for Terrell Owens, though it's probably not necessary as he finds a way to miss half the season anyway.

TO was already on the cover of NFL 2K5 so I highly doubt he'll be on this one.

What ialways wonder is how they choose who will be on the damn game? There have been tons of great players that have never been on a cover. Why put Alexander on there instead of say Hasslebeck or Big Ben?

I just read about this recently on Snopes. Interesting that it continues to happen.

Actually, up until 1999 or 2000, Madden was always on the cover by himself. Then they had Barry Sanders appear, who abruptly retired before training camp.

Obviously he knew something the rest of us didn't yet, as he got the fuck out before an inevitable season/career ending injury. :p

Hasslebeck isn't up there with other QBs like McNabb or Peyton Manning. Granted, I don't like Peyton and I'm indifferent to McNabb, but I don't think Hasslebeck is at the same level in terms of flash. Don't get me wrong, I think Hasslebeck is good, but doesnt really have that "wow" factor. Big Ben is eh. I say they should put Carson Palmer on the cover, but I actually LIKE him, so I hope they don't.

Madden usually goes with a player in the position they've modified.

When they modified the defensive AI, they got Ray Lewis. When they changed the passing game and introduced new elements like the passing cones, they got McNabb. In 07, they changed the running game, so they went with a RB. I didn't see Alexander coming myself, but he is the MVP and played in the Super Bowl, so there you have it.
