Well, look on the bright side, at least Miller wants to make it R-rated. Not sure the studio would let him, though.
Worst idea ever.................this week, hollywood will continue to amaze me though I'm sure with there idiocy.
I am gonna go watch HLN's entertainment block. Heard that Ghostbusters 3 will be done like Team America (and with twice the suck.) Ozzy said it best back in the day.... "Satan laughing spreads his wings." -War Pigs-
I don't see why people are so opposed to this idea. Mel Gibson may not be in it, but George Miller has written/directed/produced all three of the original Mad Max movies. If he's involved in making the new one, I can't see how that's not a good thing. He's been trying to do a live action fourth movie for awhile now, but they've been having location troubles. I think this is a viable way to move the franchise forward - it would be nice to see a 3D animated move that's not aimed at little and/or stupid kids for a change.
Bah. Mel Gibson hasn't done anything decent in years. Plus, Mad Max 3 was abysmal. Maybe this won't be as bad; I'll hold out at least a little hope for this until I see otherwise.
One of my biggest nerd blasphemies would be that I totally didn't get into the Mad Max films at all. D: Though I think the setting and idea are cool.
I'd have to agree. Too me the transition of the world's post apocalyptic situation from Mad Max1 and 2 was too big and a bit far fetched to me. Maybe I need to watch them again since I'm a bit older and wiser.
