bigbadtoystore.com have a pretty nifty macross three figure set in stock, there's two different versions of the VF-1A and a VF-1S at 1/100 scale. it costs $59.99 for the three of them, but i live in england so that'll work out something like $90 shipped, or £60 in money i can understand =D only thing is, i'm pretty new to macross; i only looked them up because i really like G1 Jetfire, so i don't really know if that's a decent price. What I'd recommend would depend on two basic things that you'd have to prioritize, namely scale and price. Unfortunately Macross is one expensive line to get into with most figures averaging $100 or so. No problem! Always glad to bring another fan into the Macross fold. That particular VF-1S is scaled at 1/48 which means it's slightly larger than the G1 Jetfire which was scaled at 1/55. It's far more articulated and extremely well detailed. The primary scale that both Bandai and Yamato use nowadays is 1/60 though, making it smaller than G1 Jetfire.
Don't listen to this hack If you are gonna be ok with the 1/100 scale anyway, the best one to get right now is the Hi-Metal series from Bandai, almost perfect transformation with some part swapping, huge amount of articulation, looks great and doesn't take up much space, not to mention a lot more affordable than the 1/60 Ver.2 Valks and some 1/48. I had one of these. I really liked it. One of the plastic tabs that connected the body in jet mode broke but didnt really affect anything. It had a lot of weapons and full transformation. If you can get em cheaper I'd recommend them highly
