has anyone heard anything about macross dyrl being released in america
i have it. it's good. take the entore macross saga and compress it into 2 hours.
ive seen it its amazing right but did you buy it in america or did you have burn it
There is no DVD release of this movie in North America. Register here and complain.
dude dont tell me your going to start bitching about robotech cuz i dont wanna hear it look fact of the matter is its not robotechs fault that we dont have the movie its the company that made macross becouse they realised they screwed up by giving us macross becouse we have everyother macross movie cept that one
Yeah take a number on this one, the fact that this movie does not have a region 1 DVD release here is the greatest crime in American anime fandom if you ask me.
Nothing much is "Robotech's fault" since that's just a show. However, Harmony Gold, the company that owns Robotech put a trademark on the name "Macross" so that no new Macross movies or shows can be released here. Try again, and write coherently next time, thanks.
huh? dude, speak in complete sentences. and you have no idea what you're talking about.
oo ok i thought you were gunna start complaining about robotech sorry for the puncuation and stuff im realy tired right now.
To be fair it's not just Harmony Gold, Tatsunoko, Big West, and all the other bazillion companies with a hand in Macross are at fault.
I think that was a few complete sentences smashed together into a huge bizarre thing-that-should-not-be instead of separate ideas that make sense.
...sort of like Robotech
how do i have no idea what im talking about?
If we're talking about the 1980s, yeah, this is true. As for right now, none of those other companies can do a thing to correct the situation until HG stops trademark squatting. That's fair, and it's the truth.
i'm not gonna even answer...
o heck no he made fun of robotech its on come on put up your valkyrie i guarantee my veritech will win
Two versions of the same mech? One running on fusion reaction, the other running on mystical plant compost? Good luck.
I'm KINDA hoping that with Bandai's backing, they can somehow force at LEAST Macross Frontier to get released here.
If by no other way than by throwing a LOT of money at the right people to get it done.
I would so love for Macross Zero and Frontier to get a decent release in the US... Macross 7... heh, we can all do without in my opinion ^_^
No, if you keep asking, we'll end up with Clash of the Bionoids on BluRay.
And it's funny because if Sunstreaker116 had not jumped the gun on the Macross/Robotech issue, it never would have showed up in this thread.
This is my hope as well. At the very least I want a US release of Frontier. Maybe Bandai can threaten to stop sending us Power Rangers product unless they are able to release Frontier in the US.
In any case, I want Frontier on DVD and if I have to go the HK bootleg route I will, but I hope to not have to.
As for DYRL, if it is ever officially released here I will happily buy it, but for now my HK boot copy works, looks, and sounds perfectly fine.
Why are you buying bootlegs, not heard of DVD burners or TV media players?
Separate names with a comma.
