Anyone have? Any thoughts?
Don't have it, but from what I've read about it, it has weak ball joints that supports heavy die-cast metal parts. After a few weeks\months of display on either battroid or gerwalk mode, the joints will sag from the weight.
Check at www.macrossworld.com. They have reviews section on their forums. If I remember correctly, no major problems with the figure except what's mentioned.
I had one and ended up selling it after a month or so. It's a cool design, and there aren't any terribly major issues with the toy but I was bothered by the looseness of the joints (the arms on mine didn't want to stay in any position other than hanging at the sides) and I think there was some kind of assembly error that kept the shuttle mode from locking together properly.
It's an impressive looking toy though, those cannons are just badass. If Yamato attempts a smaller scaled version I'll definitely check it out.

I've always wanted this piece. Looks massive.
I have it and think it is great. The arms are a little loose, but nothing that bothers me.
The transformation is intense, and you have to be carefull with it to protect thin pieces of plastic that hold parts together. There used to be a fantastic step by step photo guide to convert him on the macrossworld forums, and it still may be there. I haven't really transformed him much because his one mode is the only one I am really familiar with, so that's how he stays.
He is a great companion for the 1/48, or even the 1/60 valks.
Thanks guys! Looks like a winner!
It also looks fantastic displayed with Toynami's 1/100 valks, being in the same scale and all.
Wow, I can't believe I never thought about that. I think you just cost me some money.
Just found the stats for it... 16.5" tall in battroid mode. Wow. Now, granted, much of that is the cannons, but still...
