And the plot makes sense! I can see where things are going! Anyway, I like this series but this has to be my favorite episode so far.
But I have one complaint and that involves Scrapper, Scavenger, and Long Haul. You gave them R2D2 beeping noises instead of actual voices! WTF? But when they are fighting Megatron I wanted to hear them speak, give them banter or something.
But Megatron easily makes up for this, he was the best part and easily the best part of the whole series. Sure when he screams he sounds like Menasor but his chemistry with Prime in this one was really well done. It it is always great to see the two on screen and what words they threw at each other mixed with the action just made this episode for me. Heck I laughed at the end, it was a really funny scene. I wonder though, are Prime and Megatron wearing their scars from their last big battle? It seems that way with Prime so I wonder how Meg's got that eye scar, really like that detail. That and the faded Con symbol.
I thought they were talking to each other, maybe like... combine and kick his ass! or maybe he's had their personalities removed and they're just remote controlled so he has something to fight.
I guess, when Prime and Megs were having their talk about the Council and they started talking I thought it was something like morse code. Like we have to let the council know whats going on without Prime and Megs knowing about it.
I love Megaton in this episode! The guy just love what he does like the Joker.
I'll have to watch it when I get home. I'm really not expecting much at this point.
...I enjoyed it. Good god, I actually enjoyed it. Maybe there is hope afterall!
Is it just me, or is Megatron sexist?
Still, a damn good episode
This is the best one yet. Very good!
It's just you.
Looked like a couple homages to Optimus & Megatron's battle in the G1 movie. The shot of Megatron looking up the barrel of Prime's rifle was obvious, but the spike Megatron got stabbed with in this one reminded me of the one he hit Prime in the gut with in the movie.
1. Optimus voice is still bad.
2. Megatron voice is actually pretty good.
3. Lip syncing is still the worst and kind of ruins Megatron's voice.
4. ConstruD2??? Stupid.
5. Megatron's bot mode is clearly based on G1 with a GUN barrel on his back. He then turns into a TANK with a tank cannon. None of that makes sense. Pick a consistent design.
I wonder how the budget for this and Resolute compare. I feel like these guys just kept most of the money and then threw something together in a hurry.
I share the sentiment that others have had. I think this one of the better episodes. I am starting to like the idea of how Megatron and Optimus Prime are considered relics of an old age.
A better episode.
But did they REALLY not get anyone to do "Additional Voices" like Constructicon grunts? At THE VERY LEAST the Constructicons needed to react to getting hit/thrown around.
Hell, the fact that nobody is doing incidental voices on this show out of their cast is really making me wonder how the VA contracts are structured, given for a lot of animation productions they can usually get incidental roles out of the actors.
I totally love how Megatron made fun of Optimus at the end and then you had Windblade giggle about that.
I enjoyed the episode. It's odd seeing Megs and Op act like "old buddies" but that's not something new. But it was fun seeing them go at it back and forth. Plus Windblade throwing in some jabs at the two. I agree, this has been the best scene so far.
They totally cheaped out on giving the Constructicons voices and the beeps is just silly. Oh well.
Even if this ep doesn't really get more done than any other so far, it feels like it does, mainly because it does a nice job mixing the action, dialog, and plot bits together, and kept the sweeping establishing shots to a minimum.
The voice acting was pretty good here as well, even if the attempts at lip-sync beef it. For the record, I think Optimus' voice actor does a good job - until he has to do the fighting grunts, then it sounds - for lack of a better word - insincere.
I'm sorry but I just can't deal with the atrocious voice acting. The dude voicing Megatron almost sounds like Sean Connery attempting to voice Transformers Prime Megatron. And for a show that's been hyped for being for adult fans, it's INSANELY cheesy.
Easily the best episode so far
... No, its just you.
The fighting was alright, the banter between Optimus and Megs was kind of amusing, and I like how Megs looked, but that's it. It doesn't matter at this point if 1 or 2 episodes are "good", because the rest of them haven't been. Watched back to back, it'd be even worse.
Windblade continues to be obnoxious, the lip-synching was... yeah. Did they seriously give the Constructicons R2-D2 Beeps, you telling me they couldn't afford to hire someone from around the office to give them a voice? Very sad.
