I enjoyed that series, though I'm not sure if I'll get around to completing it. Mugenbine's got more toy-allure for me (though I wish it had a show to go with it).

I'm not sure, those are from the Machine Robo Rescue cartoons.

And the original Go-Bot toys were most of Bandai's Machine Robo 600 series of transforming toys.

EDIT:According to wikipedia they are an evolution of the Go-Bots.

Machine Robo Rescue is one of the newer versions of the Machine Robo series, which was released in the US as Gobots and over here in the UK as Robo Machine featuring the Challenge of the Gobots (absurdly long titles FTW)!

There were a fair number of different Machine Robo series in Japan -

Machine Robo (anime was the Revenge of Chronos)
    Machine Robo Battle Hackers
    Winner Robo
    CG Robo
    Machine Robo Rescue
    Machine Robo Mugenbine

I know Battle Hackers featured bigger toys with more features, I also know the CG Robo toys were larger and featured lights and sounds - I've got two from that line, a flatbed truck and an ambulance. The Ambulance has a flashing lightbar and emergency sirens, the Flatbed has light up headlights and engine sounds.

Rescue is a decent series toy wise - the show lacked something as far as villains went in my opinion, they were all very samey (either the Disasters or Stealth Robo), though later on you got the dark Machine Robo, and the final opponent was... interesting, although I didn't like his look much.
The problem I have with the designs on that series are that the four drones that go with each robo are identical, they make for nice symetrical combined modes but less than impressive individuals. The larger carriers are interesting things too, but again not really my thing.

The Rock Lords combiner that was never released outside of Japan was part of the Battle Hackers line. Best purchase @ Botcon I made 5 years ago! I've also got a MIB BH character called Drill Crusher, he transforms from robot to rhino to drill tank. Fairly large too...great overall design and like most of the better BH 'bots very hard to find.

Sirengarryrobo, the transport for the police team is the best IMO...although the robot head is a bit small. Winglinerrobo, the bullet train transport for the jet/fire team is also great. Too bad they cost so dang much to import/ship from overseas. I personally picked up both from a Yahoo! Japan lot for a decent price.
