If they had it star the son from the last episode they could even have rhe original make a guest appearance.

I can see it now: the filmstrip will be made out paperclips and rubber bands.

I've seen the parodies of MacGyver on SNL and Richard Dean Anderson is featured in those... he hasnt aged well since leaving Stargate

But if they do actually make a MacGyver movie... hope he'll be included

Why not have Anderson in it? Don't remake the series, just have the movie set after the series. MacGyver was never a big physical fighter. He used his mind, which was the whole point of the series. Just come up with a good story and let him do his things. He's still young enough to do some action scenes. There is also this great thing called stunt doubles for something too hard for him to do. CGI his face onto the stuntman.

Remember those Discover commercials last year. He looked pretty good in those.

If Harrison Ford can still be indy, Anderson can sill be MacGyver.

The Discover commercials had to have been over 5 years ago, as I was still in college when those came out. Here's a look at what Anderson looks like now (with a bad wig):

YouTube - SNL: MacGruber Pepsi Skit #2

I'd definitely want RDA to be in the film, he'd just have to spend some time at the gym first.

This is such an ignorant statement!! I hate overarching statements like this. Has there been a lot of remakes in the last decade...OF COURSE because people like to remember things they liked as children. But please dont knowingly ignore all the new stuff that has come out as well. Yes there have been a lot of remakes but there has most definitely been a lot of new stuff put out there as well!

One of my favorite shows that should be left alone. Richard Dean Anderson has moved on and is now Know as General O'neil of SG-1 another great show he was in. Really a Great Actor.
