That is some of the worst looking paint I've ever seen...and this is what they've chosen to show off in promo photos? I can't even imagine how horrible the actual figure will look.

Looks like TCP has the individual figures and set ready for order. They noted that Gold is a limited release, which is likely why the price difference.

    Limited release huh?

Not enough to get me to buy him, but give him a Wasp head and color scheme and then I'll think about it. :lol

    From their FB page:

"This is a hand painted sample and not indicative of all final paint application. Color will vary on the final figure.

Yes, the yellows will match on the actual production piece. This is only painted by hand."

You do realize that's a prototype, right? I have serious doubts that's what the final paint will look like.
    EDIT: Ninja'd! :p

At this price point I'd love to see a Wasp remold at the very least.

    Bugbite maybe?

Bug Bite, Wasp, Cliffjumper, Glyph, Bumper, Hubcap, Tap-Out... Whole lotta repaint potential in this toy.

Thinking about it, this Goldbug will look pretty good next to Toyworld's Throttlebot Goldbug won't it?

Don't buy, OstOgBajer. You don't need it. Stop considering it. You're already in over your head. Do you want your husband to divorce you? No, no you don't.

    But... But...

Close the window, OstOgBajer! CLOSE IT NOW!

I like the look of Gold significantly more than Skiff but will be waiting for final paint before purchasing.

Also, I may no longer need MakeToys Hummel which they've gone silent on.

Gold looks better than Skiff; for me I like the head sculpt on Gold more. That's a good price; it's displayed with MP Prime, but is it supposed to be a CHUG figure?

    Agreed.

Hummel was already iffy for me, and this guy just blows him away.

I want to see more WW/ Cybertronian designs at this price point. They have anything else coming out?

Why stop at Bumblebee repaints? As I've said, this'd make for a good Classics Cosmos. And if they go that far, Path Finder maybe?

And because a lot of the alt mode is a shell... have Samus's Choso suit and helm as the bot mode!

    In fact...

    Quick and dirty digi!
