Besides Transformers, I also want to collect M.A.S.K. , Marvel, and Dino Riders toys. Out of my love 4 M.A.S.K. I am dissapointed that there was no toy of Shark.

    HOWEVER...

I came across this video of what I believe to be a custom of Shark-

YouTube - ‪THE AMAZING AND RARE MASK SHARK‬‏

Do any of you guys know about this? If so, would you know where I can get it?

I'm pretty sure it is a one-off. I know it is a custom since, as you stated, the Shark was never produced. Chances of getting your hands on that custom seem to be anywhere from slim to none (and Slim is on the first bus out of town).

Well yeah. But couldn't somebody else build a custom like that? You guys here on TFW2005 do it all the time after all...

Check out the Radicons and pick out your favorite customizer. PM them to see if you can commission them to make one for you.

That Shark in the video didn't look like it would actually convert to me. Looked like a model kit with the bits just added on. Still nicely done, though.

    You don't say...

I guess I didn't notice that much. I can only hope a customizer can do better.

    Matt Trakker.com - M.A.S.K. / M.A.S.K. Information / M.A.S.K. Cartoon / M.A.S.K. Toys

Welcome to the KENNER M.A.S.K. page at Albert Penello.com!

^Asking people at the two above links would be more helpful. I'm sure they know much more on this custom than I do.

My memory is fuzzy, but I think these Shark customs are made by a guy in Germany. The model kit he uses to make them is an expensive one. As for how many he's made, I know there is more than one, but I do not know if he still makes these for people that want them.

This might be the name the originator goes by on the Matt-Trakker forums: http://www.matt-trakker.com/forums/index.php?topic=1861.0;wap2
    ^Also more info: http://www.matt-trakker.com/forums/index.php?topic=587.0;wap2

This might be the website of the guy who made the Shark custom: http://translate.google.com/transla...=Kwp&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=ivns

    Here's his customs page: http://translate.googleusercontent....ms.htm&usg=ALkJrhg485bsxcSp7pkH2F3fVH4BHjRiBA

    Even MOAR!: http://translate.googleusercontent....ms.htm&usg=ALkJrhjtz21KjHNeufcvaJAbQbz7sgQr6Q

I think he also made this: http://www.matt-trakker.com/forums/index.php?topic=2473.0

Rumor as to why the Shark was never made:

Female characters are a hard sell to boys, so her car was first put on hold in the beginning of the toy line. There was never a prototype of the Shark made, but the figure of the driver was made during the first series lineup. Because only a figure of the driver existed and no vehicle, she was later bundled with the Stiletto as a way to be sold: http://www.albertpenello.com/mask/stiletto.html

The only reason I know all this is because my brother is a HUGE M.A.S.K. fan. He has almost every toy MIB, save for I think 4? He also has MISB duplicates from the Kenner Factory that went uncirculated and are still sealed in their own individual shipping boxes (those aren't for sale). And he has at least ten 25th Specialist Trakker figures, not to mention books, a view-master, colorforms, die-cast cars, and a ton more I can't even remember.

I Love M.A.S.K stuff. Still really enjoy the show. My boys have gotten into collecting the vehicles and figures but theyre not so easy to find or are expensive.
