I hope I'm not the only one who watches this show.
I know I'm one day late but at least I'm not too late. September 17, 1972 is when the TV series had debuted on CBS, correct? I already watched the TV Land marathon on the labor day weekend and watched the special airing of the very first two episodes on MeTV. Happy 40th anniversary M*A*S*H!

I faintly remember this drama-comedy set in a war. This show managed to surpass its predecessor the Robert Altman film and come into its own as a sad but uplifting show about a group of decent if slightly unhinged people stuck in a battlefield that was senseless and terrible. It's a rare show that finds humour in the horror of war, I think only the 4th Blackadder show does it well (if only for a while).

    Anyway happy 40th MASH!

I fondly remember watching MASH with my parents as a young child. Saw the pilot episode this summer, the cottage we rented had a trunk filled with VHS tapes and one of them was the first 3 episodes of MASH.

Now I want to get the DVD boxsets.

I also remember this show when I was kid back in the early 1970's. It was shown every Saturday night on CBS. It was one of my dad's favorite TV shows.

During that time, we only had CBS, ABC, NBC on TV. Cable wasn't available yet.
