For example: In 'One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer', George sings 'That don't befront me, long's I get my rent paid on Friday'

What the hell does befront mean.

Many of the lyric sites read it as 'confront'. Which doesn't make sense either, but I swear he says 'befront'.

And I still don't know what 'a bustle in your hedgerow' is.

Oh man, we could go all day if we started talking about the Beatles...

Always, no sometimes, think it's me, but you know I know when it's a dream
I think I know I mean a "Yes" but it's all wrong, that is I think I disagree

I'll start this off without any words...

Nothing on top but a bucket and a mop and an illustrated book about birds...

That song was actually written by the Meat Puppets, who also had a lot of lyrics that didn't make sense.

Duece! Revved up like a duece! Which, I assume is meant to be like a duece coupe or something. Not that that makes much more sense, either. I don't remember if the lyrics are the same in the original Bruce Springsteen version, or not.

Gotta love No Connection's Livin' American. "It's like heaven, with a side of ham."

Then there's the Doobie Brothers "There's a bathroom on the right", or as the lyric sheet says "There's a bad moon on the rise." Riiiight.

That's not the Doobie Brothers, that's Credence Clearwater Revival.

Stan Bush, "Til All Are One" - The line immediately preceeding "With the enemy gone/they will finally live on"; after the second chorus and bridge, IIRC. I'm pretty sure that line begins with "galaxy" or "galaxies", but I can't make out any of the rest.

That's what I thought it was too.
