Hell yes! Two DVDs that contain a collection of Lupin the III movies, both DVDs cost about $25 dollars. First Haul features: Voyage to Danger, Dragon of Doom, The Pursuit of Harimao's Treasure, Dead or Alive and The Secret of Twilight Gemini. Final Haul features: Island of Assassins, Farewell to Nostradamus, Crisis in Toykyo, The Columbus Files and Missed By a Dollar. I'll eventually get them both. It's rare I want an anime DVD.
As much as I like Lupin, these are some of the worst discs I own. Its not that the films themseles are bad, its that the picture quality is hella rougth on some of the older stuff and they commit the deadly sin of unskipable forced trailers on start up. Plus they use angles instead of branching to accomadate two sets of titles and credits, which means some players will display thier angle indicator for the first and last 5 -10 minuites.
Is it just me or is the VA for Lupin different than in the series or single movie releases. His voice just seems a tad off.
you can "skip" them.. Press stop then menu. Worked for mine. I only picked up final haul. I got the others on DVD and needed 3 of the movies in Final Haul.
The disks look fine to me, much better than my fan subs of the same movies. As for Lupin VAs. Yes, those movies were dubbed by funimation. Were the TV series was dubbed by Pioneer, and a couple movies where dubbed by Manga. Then there is even the orginal tales of wolf. So yes lupin has had several differnt voice actors protray him.
