I was googleling around to see pictures from the Rodimus Vs. Cylconus comic book. And from the comic book, I just saw a picture of Lugnut. He was in the picture with Warpath, Rumble and Frenzy. Does that mean Lugnut is now part of the G1 universe? Or did Lugnut come from another dimension?

He's been retroactively made a part of the G1 universe.

He's part of the generations/rts/hftd universe now, at least sort of (TF fiction is incredibly fluid) so I guess he's sort of part of the G1 universe. It'd be cemented if he was put in the current comics. I mean, hell, they put Drift and Lockdown in there (and maybe others, I don't follow it anymore). He was one of the more memorable characters from Animated (though there were many) so I think it's nice that he's being sort of put into the G1 universe, though I really doubt that they'll do anything with it.

TakaraTomy released him in United and Hasbro put him in a comic based on the G1 movie, I'd say he's definitely G1 Lugnut.

I think Lugnut and Bulkhead got popular enough to appear anywhere in the TF Universe.

Nope. Unless somebody can go back in time and add Lugnut to all G1 media then he's not part of G1 universe. Just suggested to be by some crappy tie-in comics.

Maybe he's not part of G1 from back in the day, but he's definitely part of a G1 universe now, just like Lockdown and Drift, no?

doesn't make a diffrence if he is so I go with that he is part of G1 now. The more the merrier.

He's part of the Classics Neo-G1 group. That's how I see it. I personally define G1 as the original from the 80s. Anything from the 90s onwards is, as far as I'm concerned, this Neo-G1. In no way more or less worthy than the original, it has its own merits. One of which is incorporating new guys like Lugnut, Drift, Lockdown and hopefully someday soon, Bulkhead.

Hasbro and Takara, or those they have given rights too, have added characters to G1 fiction before, this case is really no different.

What everyone else said. We've had a diverse collection of characters added to the G1 mythos. Nothing wrong with that. Between US and Japan, we've had things like Drift, Sunstorm, Clampdown, Deepcover, Road Rage, Crosscut, Heavy Load, Lockdown... the list goes on. Having Lugnut isn't a far stretch. Not to mention the ambiguous ones like Tomahawk, Brimstone, and HFD Terradive...

Only if you consider IDW's story G1, which I wouldn't do because it just doesn't fit anyway with the G1 show and comics and quite frankly I like Marvel's work better than theirs (forgetting art-wise obviously)

"Fitting" in with each other is hardly a way to make a judgment in this case.

The g1 toon doesn't fit with the G1 comics from Marvel, neither fit with the G1 comics from Blackthorn [which were also made in the 80's.].

The g1 toon doesn't fit the g1 toy bios.

The g1 toon doesn't fit with the Ladybird books from the 80's.

The G1 marvel books from the UK doesn't fit the G1 Marvel books from the U.S.

Since day 1, G1 has had multiple branches.

I agree 100% with everything you wrote.

And I eagerly await a Classics Bulkhead.

If you dont like it, consider him as part of one of the MANY parallel universes that are like G1, but who diverge at one point or another.

IDW comics is a comic. I compare it only to G1 comic. Quit your... uh... pointless points. I can judge stuff however I please.

We already got a shitload of continuities, the last thing I need is sub-continuities of continuties. As far as I'm concerned G1 comics is Marvel, Dreamwave comics is Dreamwave, IDW comics is IDW. Whatever Lugnut showed up in is just a standalone tie in comic that doesn't matter and never will again. That's it.

    All my points have... uh...points:thumbs2:

And yes, you can judge things as you please, but its still a poor way to judge it, sorry if that offends.
It may be the last thing you want or need, but its what they trew at us.

    ok

We've had those since the very beginning. If that's the last thing we need, I guess that means we have everything. Success!!
