Now that's pricey. I'd almost be scared to own it!

6 modes, size... I dunno. I'm on the "Must have a sixshot" bandwagon, though.

Bah, that guy. His first 'image' is always the auction page itself. So annoying. Awesome piece though.

Come on man! If the seller had quoted USD $5999.99 for his "RARE LUCKY DRAW GREEN UNICRON", do you seriously expect anything lesser for "BLACK SIXSHOT?" Not forgetting that both variants are produced in such low quantities. He's gonna have a great time trying to sell these items at THAT kind of prices.

Even better than the Black is the Clear. I'd like to own both.

Hmmmmm $1700 for a Black Lioconvoy with gold claws....or $70 or so for a Black Lioconvoy and some gold paint....(Or I could just realize that there always seems to be other 'bots standing in front of my black Lio so the color of his toes is pretty much irrelevant :)  )

That's real nice - good luck to all TFW bidders!

I realize this argument has been beaten to death... but every time I see an auction for a 'Lucky Draw' item, the whole thought comes back to me.

These specialty items are (for the most part) released when molds are active in production of the normal version of the toy (for example, clear and black Sixshot were created while the reissue was in production). That being the case, the cost around using a different color - particularly a uniform one like black or clear - is negligible. It seems like there would be enormous profit in creating runs of 200-300 of an item like this and charging a higher premium for it; more like the eHobby approach, I suppose. Limited run items are fine - but limiting them to 10 or 20 wordwide is failing to take advantage of a target market.

I would be delighted to pay $75-$100 for a black or clear Sixshot, or a black Super Fire Convoy. Heck, I'd even pay a couple hundred for an all-gold MP-01 or a green Unicron. Surely there is a collector's market for this and an incredible profit margin to be realized for TT... all with little to no additional investment on their part.

If someone really fancy paying USD $1700 for a GOLD CLAWS BLACK Lio Convoy, let me save your wallet(s) by linking you to the SAME item which cost relatively lower, MUCH LOWER.
